[2017-4-30. : 8:01 pm] theskinsurf -- that was an even worse experience, iirc. and i couldn't get it to save properly[2017-4-30. : 7:58 pm] theskinsurf -- which means i basically make everything in staredit then spruce it up later with scmd, but can't, for instance, manipulate hidden units via triggers[2017-4-30. : 7:57 pm] theskinsurf -- I have scmdraft working-ish for mac, everything works but the triggers which is really unfortunate[2017-4-30. : 6:31 pm] Voyager7456 -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: I would be very surprised if Mozilla actually knew about it. I think the affiliates table was just used for a bunch of image links at the bottom of the page. lol I remember those[2017-4-30. : 6:05 pm] NudeRaider -- m.0.n.3.ym.0.n.3.y shouted: Hey is it possible to get SCM Draft for mac? I can't find one anywhere http://www.staredit.net/topic/17275/[2017-4-30. : 5:54 pm] m.0.n.3.y -- Hey is it possible to get SCM Draft for mac? I think the affiliates table was just used for a bunch of image links at the bottom of the page.[2017-4-30. : 3:46 pm] Dem0n -- Is that a two way thing, or was someone just like, "I'm gonna say Firefox is an affiliate" LMAO[2017-4-30. : 3:34 pm] Moose -- The other survivors: http://www.smempire.org/ http://www.samods.org/ http://z14.invisionfree.com/Horror_Domain/index.php <-- possible meme excavation site[2017-4-30. : 3:32 pm] Moose -- And the old affiliates... Stormcoast Fortress still up. Firefox still up, apparently they were an affiliate.[2017-4-30. : 3:21 pm] Moose -- Looking at the old v4 censoring table. asswipe/jackass -> detestable human being, bastard -> illegitimate child, shit -> crap, asshole -> mean person. LMAO[2017-4-30. : 2:47 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- LMLLML shouted: what program should I use for 1.18 map protection? I used to use SMC but that makes the map unplayable in 1.18. The StarCraftMapLockerProject i found here does the same. TinyMap has problems opening my map files.. and my old ProEDIT version crashes while protecting the maps is the problem with tinymap specific to the maps or is it just not working in general? I think somebody said that it runs fine in some compatibility mode[2017-4-30. : 1:49 pm] Moose -- I see. Increasing the number of collisions is actually the point, to make it harder to get the real password. Which sounds more reasonable considering the hash is available in the CHK.[2017-4-30. : 1:45 pm] Moose -- Anyone smart enough to bruteforce through that is probably smart enough to just take out the invalid sha256 map section anyway.[2017-4-30. : 1:43 pm] jjf28 -- yes, but the chance of collision is still in the ballpark of 1/67,108,863 (1 in 2^28/4)[2017-4-30. : 1:36 pm] LML -- that's quite interesting actually. doesn't that increase the chance of a collision like a lot?[2017-4-30. : 1:27 pm] jjf28 -- true, but idc about people who already know what they're doing, they can just google ![]() [2017-4-30. : 1:25 pm] NudeRaider -- jjf28jjf28 shouted: btw SI if you want to support map passwords it's just storing the first 7 characters of a sha-256 of their entered password on the end of the scenario file (the invalid section header thus protecting the map) you just posted how to unprotect[2017-4-30. : 1:24 pm] jjf28 -- https://github.com/jjf28/Chkdraft/blob/master/Chkdraft/src/MappingCore/sha256.h https://github.com/jjf28/Chkdraft/blob/master/Chkdraft/src/MappingCore/sha256.cpp https://github.com/jjf28/Chkdraft/blob/master/Chkdraft/src/MappingCore/Scenario.cpp (line 3809)[2017-4-30. : 1:24 pm] jjf28 -- btw SI if you want to support map passwords it's just storing the first 7 characters of a sha-256 of their entered password on the end of the scenario file (the invalid section header thus protecting the map)[2017-4-30. : 1:19 pm] LML -- and I'm well aware that effective protection isn't there. I personally unprotected the official maps in order to create these practice version, too, after all ![]() [2017-4-30. : 1:14 pm] LML -- it's just a modified melee version for practicing. But I don't want random idiots who have no clue about unprotecting a map to open it and create a modified cheating version[2017-4-30. : 1:11 pm] NudeRaider -- Then post your map here. Everyone will know it's your map and where to get an untampered version from.[2017-4-30. : 1:09 pm] LML -- what program should I use for 1.18 map protection? I used to use SMC but that makes the map unplayable in 1.18. The StarCraftMapLockerProject i found here does the same. TinyMap has problems opening my map files.. and my old ProEDIT version crashes while protecting the maps[2017-4-30. : 12:37 pm] Moose -- Yeah, there was a patch a number of years ago that restricted the characters in map filenames. (undocumented effect, of course) Other players won't be able to join and SCBW won't be able to recognize that you don't need to download (if you have ChaosPlugin or something that shows download progress, it'll never register that you have the map). If you try to start, you'll the still downloading error message, and that's why. Pretty much broke every Korean map without a translated title for English players.[2017-4-30. : 12:29 pm] jjf28 -- then again, I didn't have pluses in the name, that was puushes fault[2017-4-30. : 12:00 pm] Oh_Man -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Oh_Man Oh_Man I remember that from sc 1.16 but I can't say for sure what the cause was. I do remember that it was something silly though. A certain aspect of the map caused it. Maybe illegal map title (this one seems to ring a bell ever so slighly), missing start location, non-standard dimensions... something like that. Well is JJ experiencing this when he tries to open his own map?? Or just me[2017-4-30. : 9:30 am] NudeRaider -- MoogleMoogle shouted: Does anyone know where I go to edit price/build time of scarabs in scmdraft 2? scenario -> Unit Settings -> Protoss -> Ground Units -> Scarab[2017-4-30. : 9:27 am] NudeRaider -- oh god. I messed up the switch to dc math. (just woke up) Too lazy to fix but I think you get the idea.[2017-4-30. : 9:26 am] NudeRaider -- you could end up with dc being bigger than X. Then just run it again.[2017-4-30. : 9:25 am] NudeRaider -- you can use a separate dc or rerandomize the first for the 2nd unit. Since X can probably vary I'd put ranges of setting the dc based on switches. i.e. if X < 2 and switch 1 is set add 1 to dc --- if X < 4 and switch 2 is set add 2 to dc --- if X < 8 and switch 3 is set add 4 to dc --- and so on[2017-4-30. : 9:24 am] Moogle -- Does anyone know where I go to edit price/build time of scarabs in scmdraft 2?[2017-4-30. : 9:16 am] NudeRaider -- LoveLessLoveLess shouted: theskinsurf I just need a set of triggers to go through and randomly select any 2 of X number of units. The whole thing depends on the randomization. is giving allowed? Use switches to initialize a dc counter, counting up. Let counter run all game, and use it's current value when you need the random number. Rerandomize the dc at your discretion. Make the dc counter reset to 0 when you hit X (you probably need a couple of triggers just for that, depending on how much X can vary and how accurate you need it). Then to randomize give dc amount of units 1by1 to Player 9. The next unit is your randomly selected one. Give P9 units back.[2017-4-30. : 9:13 am] Moogle -- mmm I been looking around for least 10 mins trying find where scarab is in scm draft 2... =[2017-4-30. : 9:10 am] NudeRaider -- theskinsurftheskinsurf shouted: i guess i could have a blind burrowed zergling under each hero? is there a better way? That's what people normally do. Dunno if there are EUD shenenigans possible. |
