[2017-4-30. : 11:35 pm] Moose -- Oh, I thought you were some random TS player who was really mad LMAO[2017-4-30. : 11:26 pm] Zoan -- I about to drink an energy drink to pull an all nighter O_O I haven't had one of these in forever. I might die ![]() [2017-4-30. : 11:25 pm] Moose -- Yeah, literally just start a game with a map that has standard dimensions, leave it, and then host the 20x12 one.[2017-4-30. : 11:23 pm] Zoan -- He means play a normal map that works first, then try and see if Sling works after that[2017-4-30. : 11:20 pm] Moose -- Yeah, try playing another map before playing one with irregular dimensions.[2017-4-30. : 11:16 pm] m.0.n.3.y -- ZoanZoan shouted: is it from here? http://www.staredit.net/topic/16649/ that's the very same one![2017-4-30. : 11:01 pm] m.0.n.3.y -- Hey so I tried dling and playing one of Lethal's maps Sling, but when I click on it in SC it crashes SC, help anyone?[2017-4-30. : 10:58 pm] Moose -- Wait, nevermind, I just remembered iCCup is too much effort for you LMAO[2017-4-30. : 10:55 pm] Zoan -- I was playing TS with the APM counter on, and man, my APM is actually way too high for me to suck as much as I do[2017-4-30. : 10:52 pm] lil-Inferno -- guy he was facing succ, always does all-in strats and then gets rekt LMAO[2017-4-30. : 10:45 pm] Zoan -- CecilSunkureCecilSunkure shouted: inf is that u on scan's stream? wut stream[2017-4-30. : 10:31 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- I don't have a mac, nor am I planning on buying one, so a port done by myself is currently extremely unlikely[2017-4-30. : 9:58 pm] Moose -- Old v4 raffle data: 2006-03-06 O)FaRTy1billion 2147483647 ... Good job, , you won big time LMAO[2017-4-30. : 9:43 pm] theskinsurf -- anyway, gonna stop blathering for now and write this article I've got due. thanks for the feedback all.[2017-4-30. : 9:42 pm] theskinsurf -- assuming staredit makes its way back to mac with the remaster, hopefully a native mac scmd2 isn't too far fetched.[2017-4-30. : 9:40 pm] theskinsurf -- I see. staredit is just rock-solid in wine, for me. it's perfect except for the obvious limitations.[2017-4-30. : 9:39 pm] Moose -- theskinsurftheskinsurf shouted: maybe I could get a version of SCMD with the staredit trigger editor ported exactly? An "exact" port of the StarEdit trigger editor would require StarEdit's source code. and possibly with added support for extra units, AIs, etc[2017-4-30. : 9:36 pm] theskinsurf -- maybe I could get a version of SCMD with the staredit trigger editor ported exactly? and possibly with added support for extra units, AIs, etc[2017-4-30. : 9:34 pm] Moose -- At the core of it, WINE provides alternate implementations of Windows components and libraries. Windows was never really friendly towards the idea of alternate implementations of core OS features, so I don't think there's much luck to be had. A native build with winelib might be worth looking into.[2017-4-30. : 9:20 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- @MiniMoose: Ya I know, but that makes attaching my debugger very difficult.[2017-4-30. : 9:19 pm] theskinsurf -- afaik, anyway. terrain, unit editor, string editor, etc etc all work fine.[2017-4-30. : 9:17 pm] theskinsurf -- this is the only thing stopping me from using SCMD2 more than cosmetically.[2017-4-30. : 9:13 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- So... the map settings window was 3K LO (terrible) C , including lots of redundant code and 750 lines of creating subwindows... that is now all using dialog templates and lots of modular subfunctions... and thanks to error checking its now 4K LOC[2017-4-30. : 9:12 pm] Moose -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Is there a windows version of wine for testing compatibility issues? I haven't used nix since I finished college.... You could run a Linux VM and install WINE in it.[2017-4-30. : 9:08 pm] theskinsurf -- hey SI. if it helps, my main headache comes from parts of the classic trigger editor lumping together. want a screenshot?[2017-4-30. : 9:06 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- I put wine in your windows so you can whine while you wine ![2017-4-30. : 9:00 pm] NudeRaider -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Is there a windows version of wine for testing compatibility issues? I haven't used nix since I finished college.... A windows version of WINE? (I get it, but hilarious nonetheless)[2017-4-30. : 8:49 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Is there a windows version of wine for testing compatibility issues? I haven't used nix since I finished college....[2017-4-30. : 8:21 pm] Moose -- SCMD2 works great on Linux via WINE. TrigEdit++ is more developed, featured, and faster than DarkWizzard's default text trigger editor, though. I don't use classic triggers, so I don't really care about them.[2017-4-30. : 8:19 pm] Oh_Man -- oi theskinsurf, check this video out how to get players to talk to each other even if it's multi or singleplayer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWuITCmrmg0[2017-4-30. : 8:18 pm] theskinsurf -- so if anyone sees SI, ask him what level of hope mac users should have for remastered editor ![]() [2017-4-30. : 8:15 pm] theskinsurf -- good to know, though, inferno. might end up using the text editor if i need to make last minute triggers.[2017-4-30. : 8:13 pm] theskinsurf -- but given that its taken blizz over a year to fix sc2 editor for mac, who knows right[2017-4-30. : 8:12 pm] theskinsurf -- hopefully blizzard redoes editor for mac and i can use that or some native mac version of scmd.[2017-4-30. : 8:09 pm] theskinsurf -- also, I really don't want to write triggers like that, haha. I like the simplicity and failsafe of using trigger editor. |
