thekian -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: FaRTy1billion IIRC that's because the DLL injection stuff in FG was actually given to him by DW (who did MemGraft) and he didn't have permission to share it
Who's DW?
[2018-3-29. : 3:53 am]
Pr0nogo -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: Working on making map resizing undo / redo able. Probably the most niche feature yet !

Voyager7456 shouted: FaRTy1billion IIRC that's because the DLL injection stuff in FG was actually given to him by DW (who did MemGraft) and he didn't have permission to share it
o. ya, I'd have no idea what to do about like the file database or whatever that MPQDraft does
[2018-3-29. : 12:30 am]

Voyager7456 -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Voyager7456  a job application
Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: I've seen various debugging tools use it as well - for example tools that intercept invocations of the compiler and alter its behavior somehow
[2018-3-28. : 5:42 pm]
NudeRaider -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: NudeRaider The application is that you can inject your own code into programs. SC modding tools use it for all sorts of fun things, as well as things like Skyrim Script Extender for the TES games.
 a job application
[2018-3-28. : 5:03 pm]
Voyager7456 -- And of course there are more malicious uses
[2018-3-28. : 5:03 pm]

Voyager7456 -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: Voyager7456 I could figure it out, I just remember DoA being all secrety about it

[2018-3-28. : 3:22 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: Suicidal Insanity I was offered money for developing EUPs.. I'm guessing it wouldn't have come anywhere close to covering the time investment but still :)
Ya, no way the time investment would ever be covered, but that's why I don't work much on stuff that isn't interesting :D
[2018-3-28. : 1:22 pm]
jjf28 -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: thekian Nor anywhere else. Look at ASL5, run mapmaking contests with big prizes and yet ...

Nor anywhere else. Look at ASL5, run mapmaking contests with big prizes and yet ...

[2018-3-28. : 7:37 am]
KrayZee -- I got Far Cry 5. So lifelike, and it feels like I'm killing so many republicans.

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: Is how FG works, anyway. IDK about SEMPQs
I could figure it out, I just remember DoA being all secrety about it
[2018-3-28. : 6:18 am]
NudeRaider -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: I wish that didn't exist, I occasionally need to add workarounds to the software at my day job because customers use that and it has random functions labeled "todo: implement this" that cause plots to not render correctly :P
to be fair it also has functions that MSO doesn't know. Like calculating Easter Monday. LibO just needs to step up its Impress game, and we can all switch and kiss MS goodbye.
[2018-3-28. : 6:09 am]
NudeRaider -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Voyager7456 Suicidal Insanity LibreOffice tbh. tho I've used it like a total of 5 times over the past two years
I'm using it a lot, and there's not much I'm missing except in Impress (Powerpoint). Just don't expect you can switch documents between MS and LibreOffice at will. While it works pretty well for the basics, anything fancy will probably look a bit differently in the other program.
[2018-3-28. : 6:05 am]
NudeRaider -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: Honestly I can't remember the last time I made a Word doc anyway
application?
[2018-3-28. : 6:04 am]
NudeRaider -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: Voyager7456 Fancy version, I still have 2003 xD
That's the last version without ribbon bars, right? I stayed on it for the longest time, too. But eventually I just switched to Open-/LibreOffice
[2018-3-28. : 3:23 am]
jjf28 -- with the triple acronym score
[2018-3-28. : 3:22 am]
jjf28 -- feels like a missed SCMPQ opportunity
[2018-3-28. : 3:02 am]
Voyager7456 -- Is how FG works, anyway. IDK about SEMPQs
[2018-3-28. : 3:01 am]
Voyager7456 -- thekian
thekian shouted: Oi :farty:, you've messed with Firegraft. Do you know the general way the self executing patchers work?
thekian
thekian shouted: I'm figuring that it, like, loads the executable into memory and messes with the data before starting it up.

[2018-3-28. : 2:55 am]
trgk -- +80
[2018-3-28. : 2:54 am]

[2018-3-28. : 1:09 am]
thekian -- We've probably banned the shoutbox.
[2018-3-28. : 1:08 am]
jjf28 -- I thought we banned the garlic bread memes
[2018-3-28. : 1:06 am]
thekian -- We'll pay you in garlic bread.
[2018-3-28. : 1:06 am]

Suicidal Insanity -- I feel "Spent the day playing with a young sealion" is a good reason not to have worked on scmdraft :D
