I don't know what weird results you see. I only tested it with 1 iso square, though, that might be the reason my results are so nice..[2018-3-31. : 8:27 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Well if you paste the brush contents on the map, and then do regular diamond terrain, the matching will likely be weird[2018-3-31. : 6:08 pm] martosss -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: martosss I still need to add isom data oto the brush files or figure out how to regenerate it, otherwise placing isom terrain o brush terrain messes up I think brushes right now are awesome - I mark x sells, save them, and then place the exact set of sells somewhere else. How do you place isom terrain on the brush ? And how do you think it fails?![]() [2018-3-31. : 5:32 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- martosssmartosss shouted: Suicidal Insanity Oh SWEET ! Now I can see the limit and change stuff around to fix it! Awesome! I still need to add isom data oto the brush files or figure out how to regenerate it, otherwise placing isom terrain o brush terrain messes up Thanks. So ISOM data is stored only in the ISOM section of the chk file? I saw that mine was filled with the same numbers, which should mean there is no isom at all. I guess that's a good thing? ![]() ![]() [2018-3-31. : 3:00 pm] martosss -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: martosss Brush files don't store isom data. But if you open the debug console and then display /chage the pathfinding preview it will tell you whether you are above the nooks and crannies limits or not Oh SWEET ! But if you open the debug console and then display /chage the pathfinding preview it will tell you whether you are above the nooks and crannies limits or not actually it doesn't matter much, because to view all brushes together is exactly what I wanted. As an added bonus I just saw that if I extract the brush with MPQ and then open it with notepad i can see what iso crap is saved together with that brush, so that i can avoid saving excess info if possible. I just chatted with 1 guy who said that if I save a brush from a several iso tiles it will save additional info, not sure if this is true, but would be glad to read your comments about it. My problem is that my map started getting the "too many crannies and small paths or corridors" error, so I'm trying to optimize terrain.[2018-3-30. : 9:21 pm] thekian -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: ya, can't improve site cuz can't improve dldb until farty makes the map parser which can't be done until moose gives him 32-bit dlls or something so meme "w/e" -lilInferno[2018-3-30. : 8:13 pm] Dem0n -- ya, can't improve site cuz can't improve dldb until farty makes the map parser which can't be done until moose gives him 32-bit dlls or something so meme[2018-3-30. : 7:34 pm] Moose -- RexyRexRexyRex shouted: b t dubs the site doesnt take 5 years to load pages anymore so great job back end people Nothing happened, people just went to discord instead of the site so the load decreased LMAO ![]() [2018-3-30. : 4:53 pm] martosss -- thekianthekian shouted: Oh hey, the search finished. Well, Rexy said years, he didn't say it wouldn't take hours xD BTW Disregard my previous comment about opening brushes with hex editor being useful, that's BS, I was just looking at part of the terrain and thinking it's something else[2018-3-30. : 1:19 pm] RexyRex -- b t dubs the site doesnt take 5 years to load pages anymore so great job back end people ![]() [2018-3-30. : 12:37 pm] Ahli -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Ahli what the fuck dude, thats awesome. I use an MPQ editor and I think it messes something up when it tries to save ... does anyone know a nice way of doing it or how the brush file format is supposed to look like?[2018-3-30. : 8:39 am] martosss -- hey guys, can someone give me some tips about brushes in scm draft?
