"Good wavs" isn't a very good description, what kind of map are you making, and what sort of sounds are you really looking for?

I can show you a great sound effects torrent if you want. It has everything you just asked for in .wav. About 250mb's of sound files, and all are really really great.

The link should be near the bottom right if it doesn't auto download.

Just here for the pie

I use findsounds.com for sound effects.
I use newgrounds.com (specifically the audio portal) and youtube.com for music.
To extract audio and other things from videos on websites such as YouTube, I use forinside.com

Shooting, reloading, footsteps, doors, a few explosions and some other good sounds can be taken from any Counter-Strike series game. The files are easily found and have a wide-spread extension (don't remember which one).

For the aliens, take a look at all the Zerg units' sounds. In SCMDraft2, go to Scenario => Sound Editor and go through all the Zerg sounds. You may find them quite useful, especially since they don't use up any space in your map.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

open other maps with winmpq and get what you like :>

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Doom 2 sounds fyi (and any other wad file you might have). Make sure you resample them up to 16 bit for better comression.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
