Wait 1 = 1/10 of a second ~=~ 1.5 cooldown.

That makes even less sense.

That means one attack would take 18-19 frames. If it's wait 1 frame, it's still 17-18 frames.

The broodling only has wait 4 in the attack script, plus the cooldown. There, done, simple.

Looking at the cooldown timer in game yields some interesting results. The cooldown ranges from cooldown-1 to cooldown +2, yielding an average attack of cooldown + .5. I believe stimmed rines have a cooldown of 7, but there's something finicky with the iscript which makes them not attack again, and I think they go through a 3 frame delay every so often, which pushes it up again.
