[2014-9-06. : 6:25 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- aaa kitty, y u sticking your face in my cup of milk? :C[2014-9-06. : 4:30 am] Centreri -- Someone should make one of those see-the-planets-size-and-distance-relative-to-each-other diagrams with log distances. That would be fun.[2014-9-06. : 3:20 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Should I report chkdraft not opening protected maps properly as bugs? ![]() [2014-9-06. : 3:09 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- What should look like this instead looks like http://i.snag.gy/n4cKd.jpg[/url.[2014-9-06. : 3:04 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wtf, who ate my pizza? :C And more importantly, who took a few bites of a slice and left it in the box?[2014-9-06. : 3:02 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- But it's more like a test tool, so I don't feel like fixing that[2014-9-06. : 3:01 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- So the only issue is that it only does anything with the CHK, so the resulting map will lose any wavs[2014-9-06. : 2:57 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Well I think this confirms it works. Let's test it in SC.[2014-9-06. : 2:56 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- There, now my map reader does it correctly. It works with split sections, but I had made it exit the loop when it read beyond the last section's initial pointer.. so I just made it so it exits when it reads past the last section. ;o[2014-9-06. : 2:48 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- lol, my map exporter doesn't either ... It counts the number of units correctly, but only displays the first chunk of them[2014-9-06. : 2:38 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- "Original Unit Count: 1042 (37512 B) New Unit Count: 320 (11520 B)" On my map with stacked pylons ![]() [2014-9-06. : 2:37 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I haven't tested it to confirm, but "Original Unit Count: 1656 (59616 B) New Unit Count: 141 (5076 B)" on your map, jjf ![]() [2014-9-06. : 2:14 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- It's not really that big of a deal since the only time that really happens is stacked minerals..[2014-9-06. : 2:13 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- LoveLessLoveLess shouted: FaRTy1billionstacking implies many things. I mean reading the same units several times in the maps so duplicate units take less space[2014-9-06. : 2:11 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I looked at euddb, if it does then it will be in the vanilla location table[2014-9-06. : 1:42 am] Jack -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: Does placing start locations for like player 255 do anything bad? Try it and see ;D[2014-9-06. : 1:32 am] LoveLess -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: I got an algorithm for stacking units .. I don't know that it's optimal, but it's simple. xD stacking implies many things.[2014-9-06. : 1:17 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Does placing start locations for like player 255 do anything bad?[2014-9-06. : 12:51 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I got an algorithm for stacking units .. I don't know that it's optimal, but it's simple. xD[2014-9-06. : 12:31 am] payne -- jjf28jjf28 shouted: wait, Canada has laws? do any of them actually get enforced? yes: don't you dare go in the streets to fight for free education, for example[2014-9-06. : 12:30 am] payne -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: I always heard downloading stuff in canada isn't what is illegal, it's supplying it. I remember reading some "Copyright Laws" or whatever and it was mentionning that unless you get paid for using copyrighted material, you are fine[2014-9-06. : 12:29 am] payne -- JackJack shouted: Payne, doesn't Quebec have the same laws as the rest of Canada? maybe, but you never know... there is always provincial versus federal laws[2014-9-06. : 12:26 am] Jack -- Now that I don't game, I should start writing short stories or something. Maybe do a web serial which I have to update weekly![2014-9-06. : 12:24 am] Jack -- Farty sort of, it's complicated according to wikipedia. Either way if you're torrenting and only leeching, not uploading too, then you suck ![]() [2014-9-06. : 12:24 am] Jack -- TBH you'll probably be fine due to sheer quantity of people torrenting, you're just one of the swarm and it's unlikely they'll bother with you unless you get caught by the companies which are employed by media creators to hunt down people who illegally distribute their stuff.[2014-9-06. : 12:23 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- So like if you are distributing it, that's the problem.[2014-9-06. : 12:23 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I always heard downloading stuff in canada isn't what is illegal, it's supplying it.[2014-9-06. : 12:22 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- aaa, stacking unit sections is hard because of the dummy sections Every time you want to add a jump, you have to add another unit.[2014-9-06. : 12:21 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- JackJack shouted: Farty I don't think it should be free (costs no money), because then who would pay for it? It should be a basic human right ![]() [2014-9-06. : 12:20 am] Dem0n -- paynepayne shouted: Dem0n out of curiousity, would you be willing to transfer it to my email? I didn't actually get the email. My roommate, whose name is on the internet bill, was the one who got it.![]() [2014-9-06. : 12:20 am] jjf28 -- pretty much the same set of people paying for it now, except without ISPs and telecom companies getting fat wads ![]() [2014-9-06. : 12:19 am] Jack -- Farty I don't think it should be free (costs no money), because then who would pay for it?[2014-9-06. : 12:19 am] Jack -- "Free as in free beer" is commonly used among the open source community as a distinguishing factor, as some software is open source but still costs money, other software is open source but costs no money. Something like that, anyway.[2014-9-06. : 12:17 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Both. "We should just have free (costs no money), unrestricted (not controlled) internet."[2014-9-06. : 12:17 am] payne -- JackJack shouted: As in, costs no money? Or just not controlled? that is, I must say, more "well put", then JackJack shouted: Free as in free beer? [2014-9-06. : 12:16 am] payne -- JackJack shouted: I'm not sure what it is in NZ. The best way is to just to either only do legal torrenting, buy what you want, or move to a country where all torrenting is legal. I believe the case in Quebec is that as long as you're not making any money off the free stuff you download or even share, you are fine |
