I finally know how! http://i.imgur.com/cl8ecuh.png[2015-12-13. : 3:02 am] Dem0n -- The email I used is some bullshit one with like a fake name and only used for games, so it's pretty unnecessary :[2015-12-13. : 3:00 am] NudeRaider -- http://i.imgur.com/ZcSzUj6.webm I need a behind the gif's for this massive tumbleweed migration[2015-12-13. : 2:58 am] Dem0n -- smh at blizzard's security hard-on. Couldn't remember the account info for the account that I registered my SC key on, so I had to recover it, and do so, had to answer like 4 security questions and enter like 3 security codes. Then my email address had been deactivated so I had to answer security questions to get it back and then I had to reset my bnet password and put in another security code and then I could log in just to get the long cd key >_>[2015-12-13. : 2:39 am] NudeRaider -- actually I just realized... while most people have bw today a lot of these might already have done the install.exe copying and renaming for sc done as well just to be able to play sc campaign without cd. So maybe it's not as low a percentage as I initally assumed.[2015-12-13. : 2:38 am] NudeRaider -- JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider another way to get this to work.. lol... is get peopel to modify their broodwar.MPQ like other where is has starcraft.MPQ and Broodwar.mpq merged into ONE MPQ there's no reason you can't have both. Just tell them to copy the install.exe from the sc cd over and rename it. (like they already did with their bw cd)![]() [2015-12-13. : 2:04 am] JCarrill0 -- I plan to start working on fiddling with mod tools after my next project is complete.[2015-12-13. : 2:03 am] JCarrill0 -- This one too, but i havent heard anyone who has beaten it (mostly cuz you get your @$$ handed to you at the begining) http://www.staredit.net/topic/5999/[2015-12-13. : 2:02 am] JCarrill0 -- Has anyone played it? i'd lovea review http://www.staredit.net/topic/6001/[2015-12-13. : 1:56 am] JCarrill0 -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: JCarrill0 JCarrill0 well I guess that makes sense. I want to work on newer ideas, but I wouldnt stop untill this issues got resolved, thansk to SEN for its support.[2015-12-13. : 1:54 am] NudeRaider -- JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider right.. lol I mean they wont even add 1.16.1 to the digital donwload.. lazy bastards ![]() ![]() [2015-12-13. : 1:53 am] NudeRaider -- JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider well, I am always up for new ideas, i have the regular version which is what I am happy with. it's 6MBs which in this day n age is small, but I made a second (small in size) version just for online download. JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider i think thats is a considerable loss. it it helps get my map out there to play and download, so be it. That would be awesome, but I doubt it will get to a downloadbale size on Bnet. Ther real version (with sound in the map) is 6MBs and takes about 15 misn to download, i have NO idea why blizzard made maps slow to download but it took 15 mins for one user who insited downloading it on bnet instead of tabbing out and downloading it on SEN (he was scared it was a virus link) bnet was created when modem speeds of 56k were commonplace. MANY times... I will have to live with the comprimise... beilive it or not.. the person who tested it was using the starcraft.MPQ and heard it, other then that though, I cant make the sound work any other way without adding it directly to the map (liek the real version already does)[2015-12-13. : 1:44 am] NudeRaider -- JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider exactly, thast why I orginally (long ago) decided to just USE the wav files by adding them to the map. But in order to make the map playable (where other will download it online) I hjad to make a smaller version which required me to go back to making the sound (if any) avaiablke via MPQ. except it wont be available for a lot of users, despite your string edit trickery[2015-12-13. : 1:44 am] JCarrill0 -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: wasnt the problem that you need StarCraft.mpq to be able to hear the wavs? My point is that this file will not be present for a lot of users, thus they won't hear it. Basically.. Kids online dont want to come to SEN and download the real version, so i had to make a viable solution, thus with JJ's help It was achived[2015-12-13. : 1:43 am] JCarrill0 -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: wasnt the problem that you need StarCraft.mpq to be able to hear the wavs? Correct, if SCBW cannot find the sound, it cannot play it.[2015-12-13. : 1:42 am] JCarrill0 -- I did try to use TinyMap2 AGAIn, but it somehow messes up my map where trigger and sounds play on top of each other, which sux so I removed it and accepted the fact I have to have a 146KB map. so far one person has helped me test it and he owned the enemy with his skills ![]() [2015-12-13. : 1:42 am] NudeRaider -- wasnt the problem that you need StarCraft.mpq to be able to hear the wavs? I'd imagine the vast majority is using Broodwar, so you should make that primary. If you absolutely need the content StarCraft.mpq you've set the wrong goal imo. It's just not feasible to expect StarCraft.mpq to exist or coerce bnet users to copy it over. it's not simple wav files or they would of been easy to import via sound/misc files which SCMD2 works with, hiowever when trying to use/import from Starcraft.MPQ or BroodWar.MPQ it gets fussy, but JJ's CHKeditor has a working trigger string editor and once he solved a simple issue it works perfectly.[2015-12-13. : 1:39 am] JCarrill0 -- JCarrill0JCarrill0 shouted: NudeRaider as for your Idea, thats impossible BroodWar.MPQ doesnt have the wav files since they were mission wav files[2015-12-13. : 1:39 am] JCarrill0 -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: JCarrill0 make 2 versions: .scm using StarCraft.mpq and .scx using BroodWar.mpq.
