My first ever UMS map help thread! yea. :)

Is there an editor that can disable/enable unknown tech. Xtra editor only lists the known ones. I would like my custom campaign to begin with some of my modded unknown spells to be enabled by default. These unknown spells are researched in my melee settings via my special tech tree without any problems, but those same buildings/options aren't desirable in my custom campaign map.

Hello

SCMDraft.

Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.

Ok, thnx I'll give that a try..

Edit:
The version I downloaded from the database tho seems to give me an error upon initial setup. there is a profile prompt when you launch this program for the first time. Whenever, I try to launch this, I get the error ... something bad has happened, would you like to save a diagnostic file?

Edit:
nevermind.. apparently you can't run scmdraft with a modified stat_txt.tbl? working now.

You *should* be able to... I know I've used different MPQs with it (specifically with terrain files), but maybe there's an issue with stat_txt...

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
