My latency is quite high how do i fix?

I have an issue with being the host of online gamesa. I never lag during a game hosted by others but I am never able to host a game. How do I fix this. (And is this topic in the right forum?)

It may be an issue with your router, or firewall. I have the same problem.

Also, no. :P Don't worry about it, though, a mod will move it.

Usually you just need to open Port 6112 UDP.
But opening Port 53 (don't know if UDP or TCP, best try both) might help.
You have to do this for both your Router and your Software/Windows firewall.

Portforwarding 7777 TCP/UDP fixed it for me, dunno why.
