SIGN ME UP!!!

Quote from Echo
3 months is ridiculous. Also it's going to make my time go really fast, and I don't want that! I have portfolios to finish by January!
Think of it as 3 months to make a better map.

Just a question about the theme. It's very, very vague. Does our map have to revolve around winter, or does winter just have to have some part of our map, like a setting?

Unless you're partnering with them please only do things like tell them things as you would in UMS Assistance. It's sapose to be one persons work or a team project.

Okay I'll narrow the theme a bit i guess.

meme

Oh, you should get rid of that signing up before you enter crap. More than half the signups didn't submit last time and there is no real reason to sign up before you submit.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

can we submit the map this year?
I guess I'm not able to use a computer on 1st january. :drunk:
oh, why the topic was changed? now it's WINTER. Parallel universes were so cool...
BTW, I will be participate as a team member of a mapping duo....?!
I'm helping Devourer.

I know, I loved parallel univirse, But people didn't like it. Maybe for the next contest. You can compete with up to 1 partner and January first is just the deadline, You can submit a map that you started any time AFTER october 5th, before january 1st. It doesn't matter when, Just before new years.

I was considering entering then you took all my creativity and originality twists that i said and you span them off as "not on the theme" What is the point in making a theme, then getting complaints that it's not broad enough, then changing it to something that is more fitting and can be easier done, and then deciding to suffocate the creativity by forcing even more unnecassary rules onto everyone... As I said, I was going to enter, but you just kinda fucked this up in my opinion.

I loved parallel universe. It was an amazing theme which leaves room for creativity and originality.

This new Winter theme IMO sucks. Too broad and boring. But then again, I'm most likely not going to be in it.

I think Parallel Universe had a lot more potential then Winter does, but still, could it not be something cool once in a while, and cool is not defined by Naruto / DragonBall Z / Stupid kid things...

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
