How long does it take for a shared vision ai script to take effect for viewing cloaked units? I know it can vary, but does anyone know the longest time amount?

None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

I think nobody KNOWS it but from my experience never more than 5 game seconds.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

I know you lose vision every 4 seconds. It could be that way for shared vis too.

Hypers and Game Speed would change the speed of vision right?

None.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Not hypers, but game speed certainly would. Hypers would only affect how fast the trigger actually runs.

Hmm. I've had vision update just by creating and removing a unit in a spot, inside the same trigger, so often times it is instant.

None.

Creating and removing a unit makes the shared vision thing happen faster?

None.

May 8 2008, 11:10 pm Falkoner Post #8

I don't think so, but perhaps. In my map I constantly give a unit to the player, then immediately give it back, in the same trigger, and they receive constant vision to the spot.

None.

If it isn't compiled every update, a new vision map would be compiled on a regular basis, irrespective of events on the map. Testing could probably reveal the number of updates between compiles, and then it just depends on when your vision action executes as to how long you have to wait.

Ultraviolet -- That's strange, it looks like you targeted the base image file (sometimes people make the mistake of just using the imgur page link which doesn't work for embedding) but it still didn't work it sounds like.

ManCubuS -- I should try a workaround, thanks! Sadly imgur is blocked in my country for some unknown reason.

NudeRaider -- I think SEN has trouble with https or hotlinking is forbidden. It certainly is nothing about the size, it just fails to get any size. You can get it working if you use imgur and include the actual image link for the img tag. Like this: [img=https://i.imgur.com/ddYqXZa.jpeg]

ManCubuS -- Hey fellas! Anyone knows why when I try to upload an image it says "failed to get image size"? I even tried making it so small. Imgur isn't working here and I tried postimg no luck.
