Adding modified cpu AI to a standart map

Hi all. I just modified standard cpu AI in aiscript.bin. In order to run it I must play starcraft with a special launcher. In order to play with my frind on bnet with this AI working he should run this launcher too. You've got the problem.

And then I saw a UMS map that does just what I want - its a standard BGH with improved AI on it. So you play 5 humans vs 3 CPU.

Now my question - is there a way to implement my modified AI into a standard map?

Nope.
Writing an AI is modding. This is the mapping section of SEN.

All you can do (with means of map making) is using the given AIs and improve them by triggering.
For example with triggers that periodically create a bunch of units for the cpu and order it to attack.

Yea you are right. Just studied this UMS map - it has lots of triggers.

But is there any possible way to do what I want? Any guesses?

NudeRaider just because you do not know anything about modding do not say it is not possible.
To the topic starter you did put this in the wrong spot though. However you can do what you want by doing what I learned making you map, then after that is done go into winmpq and open the map up,then add your ai script. That should work if not then make a new topic in the modding section.

wtf? Did you read my replies?
I wrote what he wants to do is modding. I didn't say it's completely impossible, I said it's impossible by means of mapping.

Btw. the topic is about ai's in STANDARD maps - he already knows how to create and play modded maps.

Yeah but, from the last quote of yours I seen you all I was seeing was no not possible.Either way I just seen post this question on warboards and he wants to play the map with the custom ai with others. While they are playing it normal or not I think...If that is so with a custom ai map then that would not be possible.Unless they all are playing the same modmap at once.

Ok, thx, Ill try out.

Huh. How can you play different maps at once ? :) The new map will be downloaded for all players doesnt it?

If by "work" you mean "crash the game because the map will call an AI Script that it can't read from the normal aiscript.bin", then sure.

Mini Moose if he makes a custom aiscript and puts it in his map, then loads with scmloader it should not crash unless he has a datedit that is buggy or something.

Yes, but that's probably not what he is looking for in a normal UMS map.

Perhaps you should have mentioned SCMLoader (there goes your "normal map" as well) when you posted before instead of expecting me to read your mind.

At least you can assume he means SCMLoader or a similar program.
