Most of you are probably aware of the fact that units like to get as close as possible to the spot they were created. I'm wondering if there is some way to make units forget this spot and just hang out where they're moved/ordered/whatever. Is there some way without using EUDs or anything, to sort of over write the actual coordinates of the spot they were created? so they behave more like hero units and just attack whatever comes close until its dead.

None.

This is an AI behavior, and affecting AI is very limited. From my understanding, the behavior is caused by the last order position they're given (which in the case of creation is where they are created). Centering a location on them and ordering them to patrol at the location regularly should update their order position while maintaining aggressive behavior, though it may cause attack interruptions.

(Heroes don't have this behavior because they don't have any of the built-in AI stuff that regular units have.)

haha for sure. in some ways it's even more exciting because you can play EUD maps on regular battle.net, don't need to convince someone to download your mod to play with you. what did you do?
