JB4 -just- repaired his computers.
I'm sorry, I myself did not even know he had computer problems.
Yes, the map production is restarting!

Though, for my part, I'll be away from the 3rd of July to the 11th at least.
Jb4 will work on triggers while I'm away, and Rahab should add more combos. :)

Triggers are done.
The testing session starts.
Undeterminated time until final release.
This map will be submitted to the Blizzard Contest once completely finished.
JB4times4 will be our representer.

Thanks for your patience, everyone! :)

shmeeps is our new triggerer. :awesome:

The map is nearly done after 3 trigger-remakes, keep faith! :P
I'd estimate it at 90%, minimum. ^^

I deleted all the triggers and restarted from scrap since there were -so many- goddamn bugs everywhere.
The map's already playable; it's only missing some bug fixes. Expect a completely playable version (yet non bug-free) by Map Night.

Rahab, if you read this, I've published the map under "Random Micro Arena!". You can go there and test the combos. ^^
Please start to balance stuff.

To the curious, as always, I've left my map Unlocked. For the ones that want to help, inside my maps, I always leave a huge Comment-list that lists all the bugs/future improvements and that kind of stuff. I have quite a lot of bugs related to the Data Editor (stuff like the Vulture passing through Force Fields or Ghost missing his attack sound and some of his spells' sounds), if you could check it out and help me out, it'd be great! :)

All features that should be there are now implemented.
However, the latest version has proven itself to be extremely buggy. Aalleecc and I will try to dig into that to fix the errors.
Patience, friends, patience!

After months of laziness, this project was revived and now, within 6 days of intense work, it is finally out! :awesome:
While it is a bug-free version, it isn't very balanced yet. Rahab will get on it very soon.

Showcase's thread: http://www.staredit.net/277160/

This current thread can now finally rest in peace and be closed.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[06:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
