I agree with Roy. Either way he killed someone that was not the killer. imo he should no longer have any weapons. Make sure he doesn't get the knife back. Knife is tainted anyway. Was used to kill the owner and now Tristana.
to tuxedo: we can probably examine the knife. Since everyone saw it in the lobby on the first turn, we can identify if it is the same knife.
But again, Aristo reported Tristana's death as the result of Ez's actions. Why would he do that? He must have known his own blunder. Or maybe he just didn't want us to know? Edit: Maybe simply because it was an accident he didn't want to be accountable for?
I can't imagine with witnesses around (or likely chance of witness and report between the 2 of the others) this was on purpose, though...
I can see why he might throw the knife instead of wield it (which I must have misread..? Edit: no, the throwing part appeared as I was writing my observation ), though, as that would preserve its prints...

I think that we detain both Aristo and EzTerix, restraining and disarming them, and keeping them under a three- or four-man guard. Why? In case one of the guards is the murderer. Everyone else should separate into groups of no less than three people and explore the house in squads.
EDIT: Guys, I need an updated map to base my StarCraft map on. I haven't been able to work on it much due to work and intermittent emotional disturbances.
I got an idea that maybe EzTerix and Aristocrat would both agree to. We get them both in one room, unarmed, and let them fight to the death.
MORTAL KOMBAT!
If you're up for detaining Aristocrat, David, I won't stop you. I'm not going to help unless he explicitly tries to attack someone in the room or tries to enter the freezer (as I told Wing I wouldn't let anyone in while he explores).
I won't attempt it unless I get the prior agreement of multiple persons here, both to assist with restraining both players and with guarding them. Unfortunately, I can't assist with guarding them; I need two people to accompany me on another mission... I think I can trust Tuxlar for now; I was going to recruit Tristana, but the whole knife-in-the-neck thing complicates matters...
Jesus Christ. This was my turn PM for the last turn:
Quote
When moving, forcefully push open any doors that might be in the way. Do not attempt to walk into a closed door.
Movement: [potential actions 1/2/3] Move east into the kitchen, careful of preplaced traps or hostile objects/persons. If EzTerix tries to stop me or otherwise attack me/run into me, I quickly sidestep any attempt to hold on to me or touch me, and instinctively draw the murder weapon and firmly wield it in a reverse grip. Drawing my right arm to my left side in preparation, I deliver a rapid and nearly instantaneous strike to his jugular vein with the knife with a quick swing, instantly depriving him of the capacity to survive with the critical injury.
If the initial slash is dodged and misses, during his recovery from the dodging attempt I quickly spin the knife around in my hand so that it is wielded in a forward grip, and swing my arm again as to deliver a second slash with the blade on their jugular. If that attempt is also dodged, quickly jump and again wield the knife in a reverse grip, this time aiming directly for his head if it is exposed, or the back if it is not. Allow my entire body's weight to be transferred to the force of the knife as I swing it downwards towards EzTerix while I fall down from the jump. Scream "THIS IS SPARTA!" as the attempt occurs.
While he is in shock from the injury and is collapsing, I dash backwards and stand about 2 people's lengths away such that I am out of reach, and regain my composure. I announce in a stern manner: "Commandment 1.7 §26: Thou shalt not obstruct the blade of justice." Step forwards slightly and stare at them, still out of reach but within field of vision, speak in a frustrated manner and state, "Commandment 2.2 §8: Thou...shalt not kill. Thou shalt not stain thy hand with the blood of others. " Pause for a moment. Then say under my breath, "I'm sorry."
Path 1: EzTerix tries to flee:
Actions: Intercept EzTerix as soon as he tries making a run for it, ignoring any of his statements that serve as distractions (statements such as "Look over there!", "What's that behind you", and all the old tricks in the book), and stop him before he reaches the next room by placing him in a chokehold before he is out of range. With him restrained, quickly deliver a powerful punch to his temple followed by the forceful insertion of the knife into his brain via the side of the head.
If EzTerix manages to leave the room before I fully enter it, quickly take note of the direction he went in and dash as close to the center of the room as possible without running into an obstacle. Look for EzTerix in the adjacent room. If he turns to face me, quickly throw the knife forcefully towards his neck in the same manner as shown in 3:03-3:05 of the below clip, causing him to perish in the same manner as shown in the clip.
If he does not face me, quickly dash towards him, firmly gripping the knife, and deliver a clean cut with it at EzTerix's neck in the same manner as the 3:27-3:30 duration in the below clip. When delivering the fatal blow, compensate for the shorter length of the knife that I possess compared to the long sword used in the scenario. If I am unable to dash towards him, throw the blade rapidly and forcefully and embed it in the back of his neck or head, either incapacitating him or killing him due to brain damage.
If I fail in critically injuring EzTerix with any of the above actions, seize the metal cart from the ground and fling it with all my strength in EzTerix's direction.
(The interesting part of the clip starts at 1:21. My rough transcript is below.)
Collapsable Box
Van lands in the crow's nest of the airship.
Soldier: Who...who are you?!
Soldier is slain.
Pilot: We cannot maintain the current altitude; I must navigate around the mountain and enter enemy airspace.
???: Everyone. We have no choice. This is extremely important for the future of our clan. We must deliver it to Lord Folken at any cost.
Solder is slain.
Double kill.
???: Stop him!
Blades cross.
???: The enemy is alone!
Blades cross. Three rapid slashes are dealt.
Triple kill.
Blades cross. Soldiers reorganize and pull back slightly.
???: Seize him!
Overkill.
Killtacular.
Killtrocity.
???: What the fuck are you doing, the enemy is alone!
Killimanjaro.
Killtastrophe.
???: Im...Impossible! He killed all of them alone?!
Blade flies through the smoke.
Killapocalypse.
Smoke flows out from the pipe as dramatic music plays.
???: So you are the legendary Dragon.
Van: I will kill all that stand in my way.
Enemy attempts to draw his sword.
Van dashes forwards.
Killionaire.
Path 2: EzTerix tries to attack me: Actions: If I am attacked by bare hands or feet: Recalling my six-dan Taekwondo training I effortlessly redirect EzTerix's initial blow away from me with my arm. The force behind the attack shifts him off balance and he falls forwards, unable to stop his downwards plunge. I manage to fully restrain EzTerix with my body. I exclaim, "Perish, aggressor!" and draw the knife, plunging it deep into his temple (if I cannot attack the temple in a convenient position, stab him in the heart instead).
If I am attacked by a long bladed weapon: Quickly drawing the murder weapon and wielding it as a combat knife, I parry the hit with the superior mechanical advantage of a short blade and direct the force away from me; while parrying the hit, I slide the knife upwards along the enemy's blade and slice his hand that wields it, causing him to drop the weapon in pain. I manage to restrain the disarmed EzTerix with my body. I exclaim, "SAKUJO!" and stab EzTerix multiple times in the chest rapidly. Blood spews everywhere.
If I am attacked by a short bladed weapon: Quickly sidestepping EzTerix's lunge before his blade could make contact with me, I rapidly and accurately strike a critical portion of his median nerve. To his dismay, his arm becomes temporarily stunned due to the impact and causes him to drop the weapon to the ground. I quickly draw my own knife and deliver a clean cut to his neck's jugular vein much like what occurs at 1:44 in the above Escaflowne clip. Again, compensate for the swing's radius as I have a shorter blade. Use my very last action to plunge the knife to be deeply embedded in EzTerix's chest. Exclaim loudly, "Die, traitorous dog!".
If I am attacked by firearms: I drop to the ground in reaction and the initial shot slams into the wall inches above my head. Acting out of instinct, I slide forward and sweep under EzTerix's foot, causing him to lose balance and drop to the ground on his back. I quickly get up and crush the gun-wielding hand under my sole while quickly extending my knife near his jugular vein. I yell in an irritated voice, "Who the fuck do you think you're attacking? Why the hell do you have a gun anyways? Just wait 'til I cut your neck so deep the Grand Canyon would be ashamed." Proceed to deliver a lethal slash to his neck's jugular vein while keeping him restrained.
EzTerix tries to disarm me or otherwise remove an item from my possession: Recalling my martial arts experience I effortlessly redirect the his initial effort away from me with my arm, taking care to not allow him to reach anything they can take. The force behind the attack shifts him off balance and he falls forwards, unable to stop his downwards plunge. I manage to fully restrain EzTerix with my body. I exclaim loudly, "Fuck off." I then proceed to slash him viciously and brutally across the neck until bone shows.
Path 3: EzTerix does something that is none of the above: Actions: If he turns to face me, quickly throw the knife forcefully towards his neck in the same manner as shown in 3:03-3:05 of the above clip, causing him to perish in the same manner as shown in the clip. If it misses, dash towards him in the confusion and quickly deliver a powerful uppercut that breaks his chin and snaps his neck, then pick up the knife and deal the final blow by plunging it deep within his head. Mutter, "rest in hell, fool."
If he does not face me, quickly dash towards him, firmly gripping the knife, and deliver a clean cut with it at EzTerix's neck in the same manner as the 3:27-3:30 duration in the above Escaflowne clip.
If he is between me and the metal cart, forcefully tackle him to the ground and ignore any pain from an injury he may cause me. Proceed to continuously smash his head on the nearest hard surface until I see brains.
And this is what I received from Azrael:
Quote
As you enter the double doors to the east, EzTerix sprints past you. DavidJCobb sprints into the room as well from the same direction as you. You quickly dash to the center of the kitchen, and see a Persian rug lying in front of the northern exit, where your view was partially obstructed by the refrigerator before. You then go back to the door and look into the dining room.
You see someone leave to the west and Tristana enter from the west. Noting that EzTerix is not in the room, you assume he was the person exiting to the west, and throw your knife as hard as you can in that direction. The knife blade is embedded deep into Tristana's throat, whose eyes go wide with surprise and horror. His hands come up to his neck, attempting to cover the wound which has already drenched his shirt and the dining room table with blood. He seems horribly bewildered for another moment, then his eyes roll up into his head and he drops to the floor, where the dining room table is blocking your view. As you watch this scene unfold, someone behind you in the kitchen reaches into your pocket, taking the garage door opener.
You hear Roy say to someone in the room, "I'll stay here and protect Wing." You turn to see Nasus walk past you, leaving the room to the west. Knowing that you didn't injure EzTerix with the knife, you walk over to the metal cart and pick it up off the floor. You spin it around you once to build up centrifugal force, then release it soaring through the west doors.
Now the problem with this is that, considering what I wrote in my turn PM:
Quote
... Path 1: EzTerix tries to flee:
Actions: Intercept EzTerix as soon as he tries making a run for it...
...EzTerix should not have gotten away from the room. Additionally, since he was sprinting, he had zero chance to defend himself during the sprinting.
It is almost like Azrael is deliberately extending EzTerix's lifespan. He didn't have problems letting Tristana be killed off by friendly fire.

Your first action was taken moving into the room, while EzTerix was exiting. You did NOT have in that first paragraph an option for when EzTerix flees. That was after you had entered the kitchen, in which case, he had already left the kitchen.
Edit:
Anyway here's a list of possible high-risk players based on hostile actions taken: - Aristocrat (murder of Tristana) (knocking out Ray? Or was that someone else?) - payne (attempting to choke Lotus to death) - EzTerix (knocking Nasus out with a metal cart)
Medium-risk: - Lotus (incapacitating payne) - Wing Zero (attempting to knock out Roy with a pan)
Low-risk: - Tempz (keeping Ray constrained) - Roy (first witness to the scene of the crime)
Okay, Wing's was clearly from a blunder, but I thought I'd include it anyway. I know this list is incomplete and likely biased.

He attempted to strangle me and I had to to take action in case he did it again. I realized he was afk after reading the thread again. It was self-defense.
Quote
If you guys want to know, my actions on Turn 1 were basically:
Move into Dining Room. Open light.
If weapon there is, take it. If not, kill a person. If no one there, eat one of my fingers. If I've picked up a weapon, kill someone with it. If I didn't and there is someone alive, kill him. If there is no one alive, eat one of my fingers. If I've already eaten one of my fingers, start dancing. [...] Cry "I AM CRAZY, ANYONE NEAR ME WILL DIE! I'VE JUST EATEN ONE OF MY FINGERS!"
lulz?
You really wouldn't want the first turn to turn out like this.....
Yeah, I know it was in self-defense, but still. The list is mostly based on hostile actions, not necessarily the logic behind it. And when Wing swung a pan at my head with full force, I didn't do anything hostile to him.
I personally don't see you as a threat, Lotus. In my eyes, you're like a sunflower.

Just so everyone else doesn't comment on my terrible list, I'll state that I didn't list people that I barely read from/about, and that I would have no problem handing a spare weapon over to anyone listed in the medium/low risk sections.
I'd also like to apologize to Nasus for hurling a metal food cart at his face. It's really unfortunate you've been knocked out by the food cart....a second time.
Its quite easy to throw a knife by calculating the arc of the knife and the distance by trying to get it spin twice you can hit it quite easily... However this knowledge won't help anyone in game of course becuase its mainly dexterity.

sorriez
Lol the irony! I think that food carts got a grudge you Nasus
Also, t(-.-t) you aristocrat Went from low risk to high risk in one turn. suck it you murdering psychopath. If anything you're not leaving this area a free person. Your leaving in cuffs for the murder of an innocent.
Nothing good can come from allowing someone who survived a 11k character PM to run amok. Additionally, Ez did make it clear that he wanted to disappear from the map. If he isn't going to help us, we might as well eliminate him for one less variable from the equation.
Again, my apologies to Tristana. I had NOT anticipated that there would be this kind of erroneous aggression.

SUCK IT LOLOL
You BITCH. You'll pay for this, dragging Tristana into the conflict.
