I have one more map to judge, and this map was created by Zoan!
Zoan, I can't get a hold of your map; the download database is down for updates! I need you to upload your map elsewhere and post it here, or pm it to me, or meet me sometime soon on battle.net so I can download it from you there.
Also Zoan, you should check your PMs, I was having trouble getting a hold of you so I decided to post here ><
Turns out Zoan = Powder Keg, cecil. I got the map from Moose this afternoon, it's Underwater RPG. I still have to judge Leeroy's map. Probably do it tonight.
Middle of the Ocean was a very nice map, but ill be honest, it won because all the other maps weren't up to the standard level of gameplay. They matched ocean theme, gratz, but gameplay was eh.. Chia could have won if he actually put some more time into his map, which was also really good, but like he said, it was really crude. Anyways, congrats to Leeroy and his new ScII beta key, make the best of it for the next 2-3 months .
I think only 1 map (the best of your 3) gets chosen and judged. I think thats how the proceedure goes...
IMO you'd have more of a chance combining your efforts on 1 map rather then spreading yourself thin on 3.
If that was the case, Swim in the OCEAN would've been in top 3 instead of Pollute the Ocean.
Here I'll judge it real fast:
Quote
Echo - Swim in the Ocean
Gameplay: 0
Originality: 10
Aesthetics: 0
Theme: 2
Completion: 0
I thought this was pretty funny. The wav topped it all off. The people I played it with thought it was pretty funny too. One guy was leik "What is the point of this map?" And another guy was leik "To swim in the ocean." Yeah, pretty lulzy.
And thanks PP
Yeah, both Vrael and I really liked chia's map. It might have given Leeroy's a run for his money if it were finished and not buggy.

Payne, as repayment of this favour, I will make it my utmost duty in life to smuggle in a naked potrait of you into the Louvre, replacing the Mona Lisa with you. This I swear in front of SEN today.
Oh, also I am at uni right now as my internet as home is changing ISPs, so I won't actually be able to put ur key to use until about a week from now.
Symmetry shouted: Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
