So this is the problem: I NEED hypers in a 4v4 map, can I give em to P12 / if not to all players so in any situation the players will have hypers?

Giving them to all the players seems to work. I've done it in an eight-human map before.

If it doesn't, you're screwed - only players 1-8 can own and run triggers.

You can give to all players,you can't use waits though

Using counters in the place of any waits you might want isn't usually too much of a hassle.

Agreed.

DCs are really very simple. I wonder that more people don't use them. They're key to making a map more professional.

Yea I know everything about DC's wait blocks and such, I just wanted to know if Hypers still worked with players, thanks for the help, i'm helping a new mapper with his triggers.

Give them to All Players and always make sure they're at the bottom of the trigger list, then as long as each player isn't using a wait at the same time, they should continue to run and you can still use waits.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
