Ok so on my map i have lings spawning always as a starter unit. What i want to happen is when an scv brings a crystal to location "player 1 unload" it stops creation of the lings and starts creating zealots. i get how to always spawn the ling... just don't know how to switch the spawns. any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

C: Current Player brings at most 0 crystal to "player 1 unload"
A: Create lings
C: Current Player brings at at least 1 crystal to "player 1 unload"
A: Create zealots
I think it's more like this.
C: Switch 1 is cleared.
A: Create lings
C: Current Player brings at at least 1 crystal to "player 1 unload"
A: Set Switch 1
C: Switch 1 is set.
A: Create zealots
None.
NudeRaider's method is much simpler then yours ForTheSwarm. For your you would also have to do:
C: Current Player brings exactly 0 crystal to "Player 1 unload"
A: Clear Switch 1
None.
I think I would use death counters if it was for more than 1 unit.
Condition
Current player brings at least 1 crystal to location A
Action
Move SCV at location A to B
Add 1 to death count of "Cantina or whatever"
Preserve Trigger
This way you can do this
Condition
Player suffers exactly 0 death of Cantina
Action
Create 1 zergling
Condition
Player suffers exactly 1 death of Cantina
Action
Create 1 zealot
Condition
Player suffers exactly 2 death of Cantina
Action
Create 1 marine
etc

Why use switches or dcs when you can just check for the crystal? O.o

I was assuming it was an "upgrade spawn" type of thing. Norm, Nude's method wouldn't work in the "upgrade spawn" case. If it
isn't like that, use Nude's way.

Why wouldn't it work?
Just drop the crystal there. That way you also have a visual representation of your level.
I was assuming that he wanted to upgrade the units since he said the ling was a "starter unit".

Also, remember to add "Preserve Trigger" to keep the trigger flowing.
