I've made a map where I *thought* everything would work, but alas (of course), it's not.
-- All the start locations of the computer opponents seem to populate correctly at start, but they don't do anything.

-- I'm using SCMDRAFT 2.0 (0.9.10) Certain commands and AI scripts run only in BW not the original, so I have to figure out alternatives.
-- When a 2 minute timer reaches zero, more units spawn (as supposed to), but not completely. An error claims they are unplaceable, but the location box is clearly big enough for plenty more than I specified.
-- I'd love to not bother folks all the time about these kinds of things, so if there is a fix, I'd like to know about it so I can do better for next time.
Anybody have any ideas? (besides asking why am I not using Broodwar)

AI requires enough space to build a base. In your map the start locations are right next to the map edge with resources blocking much of that space. Place the start locations away from the edges.
Your triggers seem to not have any AI scripts at all. Broodwar related scripts will be labeled as such or as expansion.
The location size is irrelevant for creating units. There is a limit on how many units that can be created in a location based on the unit size. If you would like to create more units make separate locations.
I suggest you look at other maps with similar ideas to your own map to learn how they did things.

That suggestion was great -- and I know it was also kind of obvious, but it did help me hunt down and eliminate various issues...
BUT
Now my problem is perhaps more a 'wish' -- I have seen other games create units/buildings with special properties and names, and when I load those into SCMDraft 2, those units populate in the 'heroes' area, but not even sure why because when I load my SCM up they obviously aren't there and there's no commands that you can use to create them (that don't get deleted and don't work, least as far as I've tried). Is this a different coding thing in a different area?
For example, I JUST want to make the Command Center at Location 9 have much more HP (like 5000) and also a different name, but I don't know how to pull that off.

You can change names and values of units in Scenario>Unit Settings. Any changes here will apply to all units of the same type.

I'm pretty sure it should be possible with EUDs to alter a specific unit.
