Everything on this site is database driven and if your database is being queried by multiple people.. eventually its going to make the site load slow. erm, yeah, only for REALLY shitty databases, or REALLY busy websites[2017-4-21. : 10:51 pm] NudeRaider -- We don't know exactly, but some obvious things have been addressed already. What remains is likely a combination of things that influence each other but would be fine on their own. Candidates are site features doing weird stuff, bots crawling SEN and possibly finding obscure places, or something else entirely nobody has thought of yet. DB tables and query codes have been optimized alredy, to some effect, but there seems to be more.[2017-4-21. : 10:45 pm] Ashamed -- MasterJohnnyMasterJohnny shouted: why does sen lag so much now database grows everyday and bad code to query it/keep database index good. Everything on this site is database driven and if your database is being queried by multiple people.. eventually its going to make the site load slow.[2017-4-21. : 10:41 pm] NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Probably can just condense the course into one chart though. like 80% of that chart is common sense[2017-4-21. : 9:55 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- my best guess is that it's just a really annoying popup. idk how I got to it from banff, but it may have just been a coincidence because I had a ton of other pages open[2017-4-21. : 9:52 pm] lil-Inferno -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: lil-Inferno it is, but it's hilarious o I've heard that before LMAO[2017-4-21. : 9:51 pm] Moose -- lil-Infernolil-Inferno shouted: link sketch AF LMAO Yeah, like literally a shady URL.[2017-4-21. : 9:50 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- lil-Infernolil-Inferno shouted: link sketch AF LMAO it is, but it's hilarious[2017-4-21. : 9:49 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't want to link to the page itself, because there's porn and it has some kind of infinite loop to keep opening new pages[2017-4-21. : 9:47 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- http://78945605123165414.win/100122941/files/err.mp3 lmao[2017-4-21. : 9:45 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- var text = 'Windows Defender Alert: Zeus Virus Detected on your Computer! not the zeus virus ![]() [2017-4-21. : 9:45 pm] Ashamed -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Ashamed Like you did just now? LMAO nah I dont even know what site you guys are talking about ha[2017-4-21. : 9:44 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm not worried about the page or anything ,because I'm aware the whole thing is a scam. I'm just confused/worried about how or why the page opened in the first place xD[2017-4-21. : 9:43 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- after restarting my browser, I did it again and the page loaded normally[2017-4-21. : 9:43 pm] Moose -- AshamedAshamed shouted: FaRTy1billion perhaps you made a type when going to the url before? Like you did just now? LMAO[2017-4-21. : 9:43 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I googled "banff" and clicked the most appropriate-looking link[2017-4-21. : 9:41 pm] Ashamed -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: I went back to the banff website and it didn't do it again, and there doesn't appear to be 3rd party ads as far as I can see ;o perhaps you made a type when going to the url before?[2017-4-21. : 9:40 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I went back to the banff website and it didn't do it again, and there doesn't appear to be 3rd party ads as far as I can see ;o[2017-4-21. : 9:39 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm very much aware of the "THIS IS MICROSOFT YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED" people because of my job, but I didn't stick around long enough to investigate the page that appeared (partly because it kept redirecting or reopening itself or something)[2017-4-21. : 9:37 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I tried going to the banff website, and it went to a crazy page with like porn and some message saying like "THIS IS MICROSOFT SAYING YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED" or whatever. Is that just a popup or did something actually happen? ;o[2017-4-21. : 9:16 pm] Voyager7456 -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: IskatuMesk we were visiting Banff Banff is nice.[2017-4-21. : 9:15 pm] Voyager7456 -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: Mini Moose 2707 nah, because they're not America thank god[2017-4-21. : 9:15 pm] IskatuMesk -- I don't think we have freedom. Trump needs to educate us on Freedom.[2017-4-21. : 9:15 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Ya, do they even have freedom?? nah, because they're not America[2017-4-21. : 9:14 pm] IskatuMesk -- People at CC still work on Wc3 maps. We play every second saturday.[2017-4-21. : 9:14 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- IskatuMeskIskatuMesk shouted: The problem was in you were in Canada. we were visiting Banff[2017-4-21. : 9:14 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't think I've ever actually played wc3 either. I've played before with my friends, but we kept disconnecting in the middle of matches[2017-4-21. : 9:14 pm] Voyager7456 -- Yeah, I think I did as well - just to check out the SC units in it mostly. I played very little of WCIII.[2017-4-21. : 9:13 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Ooh, I remember. It was when I was in a hotel room in Canada. I don't remember actually doing anything in it though xD[2017-4-21. : 9:10 pm] IskatuMesk -- Usually, anyways. I think some code mods did exist for wc3. You could layer those on top with an exe, if you wanted. The flexibility was there.[2017-4-21. : 9:10 pm] IskatuMesk -- It was neat, because you could distribute the one or two files and you had an entire full-feature campaign with it, and wc3 would load it in the appropriate menu offline. Didn't offer the features of an exe, but for a campaign you didn't need that.[2017-4-21. : 9:09 pm] IskatuMesk -- Or at least, they could be. I can't remember the exact details of how that particular feature worked.[2017-4-21. : 9:09 pm] IskatuMesk -- Dependencies are basically the exact same system wc3 had for campaigns, except maps were bundled with the dependency.[2017-4-21. : 9:03 pm] IskatuMesk -- They just arbitrarily decided you can never use triggers related to their save systems and such, because fuck campaigns anyway.[2017-4-21. : 9:02 pm] IskatuMesk -- What's also funny is it's not simply the map archives and stuff that are locked down, there's actually a slew of triggers you can't use either.[2017-4-21. : 9:00 pm] IskatuMesk -- Voyager7456Voyager7456 shouted: I also basically gave up on SC2 after the beta because of that. I kept with it for a very long time (Starcrafts et all) but it really just is a game with not a single redeeming quality.[2017-4-21. : 8:59 pm] Moose -- AshamedAshamed shouted: Mini Moose 2707 This is perfect logical conclusion lol. I'm done arguing about it. I understand Mesk stand point, but if you look at the definition purely THE definition and not what other developers have done... Sc2 still lets users MOD their game. Yeah, the entire argument is literally the definition of mod LMAO[2017-4-21. : 8:59 pm] IskatuMesk -- He keeps saying "definition" like he actually understands that the definition actually is.[2017-4-21. : 8:59 pm] Voyager7456 -- I also basically gave up on SC2 after the beta because of that. |
