[2023-8-24. : 9:57 pm] NudeRaider -- Interesting: http://www.staredit.net/379886/ Finishing the map first, then gathering ideas. ![]() [2023-8-24. : 8:55 pm] Ultraviolet -- Welcome to the party(ish). It's a little dead but folks are still around to help out with mapping or modding questions[2023-8-24. : 7:32 pm] Gerrard2060 -- Haven’t logged in to this wonderful site in 15 years, and then suddenly I remembered it. Ahhh, the memories[2023-8-24. : 7:52 am] RIVE -- DOOMEDEARTHERDOOMEDEARTHER shouted: I want purple minerals and some pink ones maybe some teal ones and some orange ones to what if i could have some white minerals over there and an army of flying bunkers that i could some how learn to make myself or downlaod one day I think they're only blue, yoo[2023-8-23. : 11:19 pm] DOOMEDEARTHER -- I want purple minerals and some pink ones maybe some teal ones and some orange ones to what if i could have some white minerals over there and an army of flying bunkers that i could some how learn to make myself or downlaod one day[2023-8-23. : 9:42 pm] Corbo -- Shit site imo, moose when am i gonna get access and fix this shithole[2023-8-23. : 9:41 pm] Corbo -- UltravioletUltraviolet shouted: Corbobobo, you told that poor guy in Modding Assistance that you attached a picture, but there is no picture wow pranked[2023-8-23. : 8:18 pm] Moose -- UltravioletUltraviolet shouted: Corbobobo, you told that poor guy in Modding Assistance that you attached a picture, but there is no picture pranked lmao[2023-8-23. : 1:22 pm] Ultraviolet -- Corbobobo, you told that poor guy in Modding Assistance that you attached a picture, but there is no picture[2023-8-20. : 1:59 am] Ultraviolet -- I stopped messing with tweaking outside default settings years ago, seems like I've had fewer headaches since. I don't run anything intensive enough to need higher than those settings anyway[2023-8-19. : 6:24 am] nuclearrabbit -- I once met donwano aka H.R. Paperstacks aka HorseChoker aka the big cheese aka illy big kahoona. RexyRex is only my imagination.[2023-8-19. : 5:42 am] dumbducky -- It bugs me to hell that there's a 10% chance I've met Echo and will never know http://www.staredit.net/357251/[2023-8-19. : 2:27 am] dumbducky -- dumbduckydumbducky shouted: You don't see libs citing Richard Lynn and group IQ differences on the internet anymore This still cracks me up[2023-8-19. : 2:18 am] dumbducky -- dumbduckydumbducky shouted: Is moose still making maps? Oh it says thanks to Moose, not made by https://scmscx.com/map/txgfz6H5[2023-8-19. : 2:17 am] dumbducky -- Just jumped into a COVID thread filled where all the posts have nested quotes interspersed between paragraphs of text. Nostalgia hitting hard[2023-8-18. : 3:33 pm] Oh_Man -- my screens keep cutting out sigh, tried everything cept reformat (coz f that)[2023-8-18. : 2:44 pm] Ultraviolet -- DOOMEDEARTHERDOOMEDEARTHER shouted: can yall tell me how i impiort teal mienrals into my brood war 1.16 i just made a thread post Someone will help you as soon as they can, but remember this is a small old community, so try to be patient.[2023-8-18. : 5:44 am] DOOMEDEARTHER -- can yall tell me how i impiort teal mienrals into my brood war 1.16 i just made a thread post[2023-8-14. : 4:35 pm] Vrael -- but fans also produce a lot of energy at various wavelengths so there is quite a spectrum to cancel out[2023-8-14. : 4:34 pm] Vrael -- theoretically if you could position the fans in such a way it literally would[2023-8-14. : 2:37 pm] NudeRaider -- ya, so just gotta position the fans in a way that the interference is destructive instead. ![]() [2023-8-14. : 2:22 pm] Vrael -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: But if now add a second fan outputting 20 decibels, is it cumulative? Am I now being exposed to 40 decibels of sound? no, its roughly proportional to the amount of constructive interference between the two sources[2023-8-14. : 10:30 am] NudeRaider -- jjf28jjf28 shouted: o, yall measuring air pressure in your builds? O_O If it was feasible I bet Oh_Man would. But I was talking qualitatively in the vein of jjf28jjf28 shouted: I just slapped on 6 fans going in one direction and out the other .![]() [2023-8-13. : 4:08 am] Oh_Man -- if i did push pull on the rads then i'd be in negative pressure with no way to really fix that[2023-8-13. : 4:07 am] Oh_Man -- it's real hard to maintain positive pressure. I got 2 400 mm fans at front and 3 140 mm fans at the bottom intaking, 6x140 mm fans exhausting through the rads[2023-8-12. : 9:27 pm] NudeRaider -- keep in mind having only intakes with dustfilter has the added benefit of positive pressure inside the case which keeps dust out.[2023-8-12. : 9:22 pm] NudeRaider -- if you can increase airflow it's always worth it. If you have less exhaust area than intake area adding a fan that pushes the air out should increase airflow. But it also depends a lot on your setup and gpu, cpu and psu fans and obstructions etc. In the end, just buy the additional fan, worst case it won't do anything then you can still remove/disable it.[2023-8-12. : 3:47 pm] Oh_Man -- so the temp decrease from a push pull system needs to be enough so i can reduce my max rpm so the decibel decrease overweighs the increase from the additional fan/s THAT BE HARD MATH[2023-8-11. : 11:21 pm] Ultraviolet -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: Ultraviolet ya, 10*log10(factor), which means factor of 10 by definition is 10 dB oh ya derp. Brainz no werk gud ![]() [2023-8-11. : 10:02 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- UltravioletUltraviolet shouted: Oh_Man 3 dB is roughly equivalent to doubling volume, I think 10dB is around a factor of 10 ya, 10*log10(factor), which means factor of 10 by definition is 10 dB[2023-8-11. : 9:58 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: dumb theoretical answer: anywhere between 0-23 dB ya[2023-8-11. : 9:58 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- MooseMoose shouted: decibels are a logarithmic scale, so they don't combine additively ya[2023-8-11. : 8:59 pm] Ultraviolet -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: okay SEN here's another question: If I have a sound source next to me, say a spinning fan, outputting 20 decibels. My ears are exposed to 20 decibels right 3 dB is roughly equivalent to doubling volume, I think 10dB is around a factor of 10[2023-8-11. : 8:57 pm] Ultraviolet -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: Ultraviolet filthy camper m8 whatever works my friend, losers have often name-called strong strategies ![]() [2023-8-11. : 5:27 am] Oh_Man -- I guess I dont even know what a decibel is. I know sounds are vibrations of air.[2023-8-11. : 5:26 am] Oh_Man -- But if now add a second fan outputting 20 decibels, is it cumulative? Am I now being exposed to 40 decibels of sound?[2023-8-11. : 5:25 am] Oh_Man -- okay SEN here's another question: If I have a sound source next to me, say a spinning fan, outputting 20 decibels. My ears are exposed to 20 decibels right[2023-8-11. : 5:25 am] Oh_Man -- UltravioletUltraviolet shouted: Oh_Man I played an electronic version of Risk fairly frequently for a couple years. My experience was that even though luck was a bit of a factor, I could win 90-95% of the time once I got my strategy sealed down. I always tried to get an easily defensible position (Australia all time fav, but South America is good, too) and then just mass troops at the choke point, ensuring to take at least one (usually just one) territory each turn to get a card. I'd do that until I had enough forces to wipe the map or most of it at least. Of course strategy varies when humans are involved, but I feel the skill to luck ratio is reasonable in Risk. Certainly no worse than something like Monopoly filthy camper m8 |
