O.o I mean sure, from your perspective, who hated that character anyway, obviously yes. But she's his good damn sister and for him only a few weeks have passed since he thought her dead. Kovacz is everything but a cold-hearted killer machine. He's a human with emotions. It makes PERFECT SENSE *for him* to avoid killing her, much less killer her himself.[2018-4-13. : 5:41 am] NudeRaider -- Voyager7456Voyager7456 shouted: The whole "day of the dead" sequence was the only time where I really felt like there was some depth to the setting yup, that's the main gripe with it. They had so much potential, but rarely took the time to explore it in favor of driving on the story. Such a fantastic world with tons of good ideas, but you never got to learn more about it. Of course starting out with attacking doctors that wake you, then being kidnapped by a police driver and getting flirted by your saviors/employers wife and all that was really a bit much in hindsight. But you gotta do something to get people hooked right off the bat, and it worked for me. I think I even enjoyed it all being over the top. Fits the world somehow. Same for the end, actually. Yeah it's all big revelations, dramatic closure and stuff, but imo that's simply how this show rolls. I can't imagine it going out quietly after wild ride you had before.[2018-4-12. : 9:14 pm] NudeRaider -- Pr0nogoPr0nogo shouted: focus on the sister was cringe, all the diversity inclusions were cringe, nothing in the latter half was set up properly by the first half and generally the narrative started out melodramatic and ended way moreso I too noticed the overabundance of non-white characters. But cringe? No. None of them really felt out of place. And some really added spice. Like the mexican police woman and her family and the arabic colleague. Quite an interesting mix. The sister: Yeah I understand why you would say that. She really played her cringy. She didn't make a lot of sense either. Her reasoning etc. But I think this was actually intentional and thus I enjoyed it for what it was. I mean you gotta have to have a extreme character, usually with some psychosis or something to do the things she does. If she was supposed to come over as bad ass they really failed, but I suspect they actually wanted he to be insane, and that vibe she conveyed perfectly. I'll give you though that the fight in the clone center was completely cringy, and unnecessarily so. Was just there for eye-candy. |
