[2019-3-24. : 6:03 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Anyways, time to see how much of an incomplete new feature I can commit independently of the other code[2019-3-24. : 5:33 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Feel free to hook me up: https://www.nikon.co.uk/en_GB/product/nikkor-lenses/auto-focus-lenses/fx/zoom/af-s-nikkor-180-400mm-f-4e-tc1-4-fl-ed-vr x D xD[2019-3-24. : 5:31 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- jjf28jjf28 shouted: Suicidal Insanity you and your $20k camera Man I wish I had a 20k$ camera ![]() Or at least the 10k$ lens[2019-3-24. : 1:31 pm] jjf28 -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: http://photos.arlinghaus.org/Misc/ESK_5612.jpg <- That was a couple of days ago, 1:1 export you and your $20k camera ![]() [2019-3-24. : 9:49 am] Suicidal Insanity -- I mainly went out to take a photo of it because it looked so red actually[2019-3-24. : 7:35 am] NudeRaider -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: http://photos.arlinghaus.org/Misc/ESK_5612.jpg <- That was a couple of days ago, 1:1 export CorboCorbo shouted: I didn't say moon ;o dude, that's obviously mars. Don't you see how red it is?[2019-3-23. : 10:57 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- CorboCorbo shouted: but if you wanna focus on objects, say, photograph the moon, mars and such a good telephoto will do ![]() [2019-3-23. : 10:50 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- http://photos.arlinghaus.org/Misc/ESK_5612.jpg <- That was a couple of days ago, 1:1 export[2019-3-23. : 10:48 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- 10 seconds is waaaaay too long for the moon, it moves to quickly[2019-3-23. : 10:47 pm] Corbo -- but seriously, even without a tripod, put your camera pointing to the sky on a table of something, try the widest aperture, set timer to shoot after 2seconds and expose for say... 10 secs?[2019-3-23. : 10:44 pm] Corbo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: let me put a 5kg camera+lenss combo on a 10 buck tripod. Good idea true, lmao[2019-3-23. : 10:44 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- let me put a 5kg camera+lenss combo on a 10 buck tripod. Good idea[2019-3-23. : 10:42 pm] Corbo -- it's always been a dream of mine to photograph saturn's rings or mar's ice caps at the poles[2019-3-23. : 10:41 pm] Corbo -- but if you wanna focus on objects, say, photograph the moon, mars and such a good telephoto will do[2019-3-23. : 10:41 pm] Corbo -- Depends on what you're doing. If you're into deep space photography of like, nebulas, star clusters and such, yeah, wide angle that lets as much light in as possible + a tracking eq mount is the way to go[2019-3-23. : 10:39 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- I thought normally you use wide angle to capture the entire sky[2019-3-23. : 10:39 pm] Corbo -- But to be fair, if one gets really into astro you realise you dont actually need lenses but telescopes and eq mounts xD[2019-3-23. : 10:38 pm] Corbo -- I assume you have a couple of teles with you thats more than enough to experiment[2019-3-23. : 10:38 pm] Corbo -- I mean, profesionally yes, but you could do it ez with what you have[2019-3-23. : 10:17 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- CorboCorbo shouted: I wanna go astrophotographing now D: Never really tried that. Requires completely separate set of lenses than what I have[2019-3-23. : 10:17 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- CorboCorbo shouted: Maybe i can manage to hex edit that xD It'll be two locations, one when loading the tileset and one when rendering[2019-3-23. : 10:15 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- You just need to patch the exe to switch the check to jungle ![]() [2019-3-23. : 10:13 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- CorboCorbo shouted: Suicidal Insanity Also, what you probably won't render is the next test I am going to do but that's mainly because I guess SCMDraft only renders parallax on space, like SC does. but my next parallax's gonna be for jungle. Ya. It probably shouldn't matter much while mapping, if its too much of a bother I'll put a secret option to always render it on my list[2019-3-23. : 9:11 pm] Corbo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Cool. Do I render it correctly? Also, what you probably won't render is the next test I am going to do but that's mainly because I guess SCMDraft only renders parallax on space, like SC does. but my next parallax's gonna be for jungle.[2019-3-23. : 9:10 pm] Corbo -- If the images were bigger than 8px they would flicker, render improperly or not update when units fly over them or so[2019-3-23. : 9:09 pm] Corbo -- https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/374382668936249344/559119919988473898/unknown.png[2019-3-23. : 9:08 pm] Corbo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Also this is probably using a good star.spk editor, and not the one I wrote 20 years ago which comparatively sucks Farty made a tool to split up entire 648 X 488 px layers of bitmaps into 8x8px stars and output them into an .spk file[2019-3-23. : 9:08 pm] Corbo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Cool. Do I render it correctly? You do as this is just star.spk no mods whatesoever yet.[2019-3-23. : 9:01 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Also this is probably using a good star.spk editor, and not the one I wrote 20 years ago which comparatively sucks[2019-3-21. : 10:18 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- On game start you could detect who is at which start location, store that in switches / dcs, and use that to permanently force alliances. Lots of combinations though[2019-3-21. : 9:43 pm] MTiger156 -- That 2v2v2v2 mapping problem does sound like an interesting challenge. Its worth putting some experimentation into. I could make an example map for combining locked alliances (based on lobby forces) + random start location. Though an EUD solution would be the most efficient, I will avoid that for the sake of simplicity.[2019-3-21. : 8:52 pm] NudeRaider -- pallfypallfy shouted: thanks, but that sounds complicated well, that's the gist of sc mapping. Either accept the limits sc sets for you and work within those parameters, or get creative and find complicated solutions to achieve what you want. The latter can be most satisfying. Sometimes comprised are inevitable though. Also see my respnse in the thread. |
