I would have to do the later it's dynamic![]() [2019-3-26. : 9:34 pm] MTiger156 -- First I'll be figuring it out with pre-known indexes, then I will implement looping for "finding" an index.[2019-3-26. : 9:33 pm] MTiger156 -- My usage is still quite basic. I have certain unit indexes that I want to give "dynamic changes" to. I'm thinking the actions just aren't receiving the index properly.[2019-3-26. : 9:21 pm] Ultraviolet -- I had an issue trying to use 'Current Player' without defining Current Player for a while. Everything looked like it should work according to my knowledge of classic triggers, but within the EUD Editor, some things are a little (or a lot) different[2019-3-26. : 9:19 pm] MTiger156 -- I really suck at doing "CUnit Struct" triggers (EUD Editor). First I was corrupting my files, but now that I passed that part, I keep hitting "unsupported EUD" errors... I know for fact that what I'm trying to do is supported; I see it being done in recent Korean maps.[2019-3-26. : 6:42 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: not as big of a pain as updating the static arrays in SC's code, I imagine But are you replacing one set of static limits with another, or turning it all into dynamic limits? And many dat files have like 3 or 4 different lengths that they use datext just scales the file to the new number of dat entries, and then gets rid of silly things like restricting only certain IDs having certain properties (mostly to make it easier for scaling)[2019-3-26. : 6:02 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- my minerals have been as low as like 200, so who knows lol[2019-3-26. : 1:30 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oh, except units.dat's flingy ID reference becomes 2 bytes instead of just 1[2019-3-26. : 1:30 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- basically, if the file is the default size then it's a normal file, otherwise divide the size by the total size of all the fields for 1 entry and that's the new number of entries[2019-3-26. : 1:29 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that dat files are easy though datext just scales the file to the new number of dat entries, and then gets rid of silly things like restricting only certain IDs having certain properties (mostly to make it easier for scaling)[2019-3-26. : 12:03 am] Pr0nogo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that would be nice to at least have the option to edit player map settings for ids past the default limit, but I guess we have ways around that already[2019-3-25. : 11:01 pm] Corbo -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Pr0nogo And custom color cycling ! and custom parallax support tbh[2019-3-25. : 10:43 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Suicidal InsanitySuicidal Insanity shouted: Corbo And statistics![]() [2019-3-25. : 10:29 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that[2019-3-25. : 10:28 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- Pr0nogoPr0nogo shouted: he's already added expanded tileset functionality which requires an external plugin And custom color cycling ![2019-3-25. : 7:33 pm] Pr0nogo -- meant to quote poiuy_qwertpoiuy_qwert shouted: There are some limit expander plugins floating around, at least one that allows expanded dat files ![]() [2019-3-25. : 7:33 pm] Pr0nogo -- CorboCorbo shouted: Though those work with external plug ins; it would be like asking SI to include memory edits from FG into scmdraft xD unfortunately they are all pretty incomplete, it seems if what i want is to be achieved it'll need to be made with whack instead of something compatible with gptp[2019-3-25. : 7:32 pm] Pr0nogo -- he's already added expanded tileset functionality which requires an external plugin[2019-3-25. : 7:15 pm] Corbo -- Though those work with external plug ins; it would be like asking SI to include memory edits from FG into scmdraft xD[2019-3-25. : 6:58 pm] poiuy_qwert -- There are some limit expander plugins floating around, at least one that allows expanded dat files ![]() [2019-3-25. : 1:30 pm] Suicidal Insanity -- When you edit em you just change the values, not the size. If I were to try and load one with a different structure it would just mix up all the fields anyhow. So better to prevent that with a descriptive error[2019-3-25. : 12:38 pm] Pr0nogo -- not sure if dat files ever exceed limits when edited. eventually we will have modified data structures but I'll bother you about that when it happens[2019-3-25. : 11:55 am] Suicidal Insanity -- If I don't verify the file sizes, it may corrupt memory / buffer overflow.... so I will make sure the file size is correct[2019-3-25. : 11:55 am] Suicidal Insanity -- Pr0nogoPr0nogo shouted: what file size checking specifically Units.dat etc[2019-3-25. : 11:27 am] Pr0nogo -- there's already a lot of silly limits imo, like minimap rendering at greater than 256 sizes, so it'd be nice to avoid those going forward. not sure what the value of enforcing file sizes is, especially when many mods can circumvent those[2019-3-25. : 11:00 am] Suicidal Insanity -- In other news: I uploaded a new build last night with the tileset scroll fix, and a bunch of internal changes to data loading, including more strict file size checking. Let me know if it breaks any mods[2019-3-25. : 8:55 am] Suicidal Insanity -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Suicidal Insanity it comes with ai functions.
