O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: FaRTy1billion But are you replacing one set of static limits with another, or turning it all into dynamic limits? I would have to do the later :/
it's dynamic
[2019-3-26. : 9:34 pm]
MTiger156 -- First I'll be figuring it out with pre-known indexes, then I will implement looping for "finding" an index.
[2019-3-26. : 9:33 pm]
MTiger156 -- My usage is still quite basic. I have certain unit indexes that I want to give "dynamic changes" to. I'm thinking the actions just aren't receiving the index properly.
[2019-3-26. : 9:21 pm]
Ultraviolet -- I had an issue trying to use 'Current Player' without defining Current Player for a while. Everything looked like it should work according to my knowledge of classic triggers, but within the EUD Editor, some things are a little (or a lot) different
[2019-3-26. : 9:19 pm]
MTiger156 -- I really suck at doing "CUnit Struct" triggers (EUD Editor). First I was corrupting my files, but now that I passed that part, I keep hitting "unsupported EUD" errors... I know for fact that what I'm trying to do is supported; I see it being done in recent Korean maps.

Suicidal Insanity -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: not as big of a pain as updating the static arrays in SC's code, I imagine

Ya I bet
[2019-3-26. : 2:07 pm]
jjf28 -- boxt
[2019-3-26. : 9:10 am]
Zycorax -- You can buy little things like name colours.
[2019-3-26. : 7:52 am]
IlyaSnopchenko -- What do the minerals do, anyway :)
[2019-3-26. : 6:47 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I think I still have a couple dat files to finish, and people have complained about save games being broken with it D:
[2019-3-26. : 6:46 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- not as big of a pain as updating the static arrays in SC's code, I imagine
[2019-3-26. : 6:14 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: Suicidal Insanity dat files are easy though :( datext just scales the file to the new number of dat entries, and then gets rid of silly things like restricting only certain IDs having certain properties (mostly to make it easier for scaling)
Well I have static arrays and consts for the lengths that are used in dozens of places, just a pain to update. And many dat files have like 3 or 4 different lengths that they use
[2019-3-26. : 6:03 am]
Corbo -- i am gonna sue you!
[2019-3-26. : 6:02 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- my minerals have been as low as like 200, so who knows lol
[2019-3-26. : 6:02 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- or maybe it was when I bought the name glwo
[2019-3-26. : 6:01 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- no i probably gave them to somebody else
[2019-3-26. : 6:00 am]
Corbo -- You fell into your gambling addiction again, didn't you?
[2019-3-26. : 5:59 am]
Corbo -- i demmand my minerals back
[2019-3-26. : 5:59 am]
Corbo -- yet you only have 627 now
[2019-3-26. : 5:59 am]
Corbo -- i remember giving you at least 1.5k minerals
[2019-3-26. : 5:59 am]
Corbo -- wtf farty
[2019-3-26. : 1:30 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oh, except units.dat's flingy ID reference becomes 2 bytes instead of just 1
[2019-3-26. : 1:30 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- basically, if the file is the default size then it's a normal file, otherwise divide the size by the total size of all the fields for 1 entry and that's the new number of entries
[2019-3-26. : 1:29 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that

[2019-3-26. : 1:24 am]
Corbo -- Tbh i think SI deserves another beer
[2019-3-26. : 12:03 am]
Pr0nogo -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that
would be nice to at least have the option to edit player map settings for ids past the default limit, but I guess we have ways around that already
[2019-3-25. : 11:01 pm]
Corbo -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: Pr0nogo And custom color cycling !
and custom parallax support tbh
[2019-3-25. : 10:43 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Suicidal Insanity
Suicidal Insanity shouted: Corbo :P
And statistics
[2019-3-25. : 10:42 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: Corbo qft
Lies !
[2019-3-25. : 10:30 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Btw, did you try the build with the tileset fix?
[2019-3-25. : 10:29 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- But dat files probably would be a massive pain to support, so unlikely I would ever do that
[2019-3-25. : 10:28 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Pr0nogo
Pr0nogo shouted: he's already added expanded tileset functionality which requires an external plugin
And custom color cycling !
[2019-3-25. : 10:21 pm]
jjf28 -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: no one quotes me :'(
qft
[2019-3-25. : 9:30 pm]
Corbo -- no one quotes me :'(
[2019-3-25. : 7:33 pm]
Pr0nogo -- meant to quote poiuy_qwert
poiuy_qwert shouted: There are some limit expander plugins floating around, at least one that allows expanded dat files :P
[2019-3-25. : 7:33 pm]
Pr0nogo -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: Though those work with external plug ins; it would be like asking SI to include memory edits from FG into scmdraft xD
unfortunately they are all pretty incomplete, it seems if what i want is to be achieved it'll need to be made with whack instead of something compatible with gptp
[2019-3-25. : 7:32 pm]
Pr0nogo -- he's already added expanded tileset functionality which requires an external plugin

Corbo -- Though those work with external plug ins; it would be like asking SI to include memory edits from FG into scmdraft xD

poiuy_qwert -- There are some limit expander plugins floating around, at least one that allows expanded dat files :P
[2019-3-25. : 1:30 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- When you edit em you just change the values, not the size. If I were to try and load one with a different structure it would just mix up all the fields anyhow. So better to prevent that with a descriptive error
[2019-3-25. : 12:38 pm]
Pr0nogo -- not sure if dat files ever exceed limits when edited. eventually we will have modified data structures but I'll bother you about that when it happens
[2019-3-25. : 11:55 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- If I don't verify the file sizes, it may corrupt memory / buffer overflow.... so I will make sure the file size is correct
[2019-3-25. : 11:55 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Pr0nogo
Pr0nogo shouted: what file size checking specifically
Units.dat etc
[2019-3-25. : 11:27 am]
Pr0nogo -- there's already a lot of silly limits imo, like minimap rendering at greater than 256 sizes, so it'd be nice to avoid those going forward. not sure what the value of enforcing file sizes is, especially when many mods can circumvent those
[2019-3-25. : 11:26 am]
Pr0nogo -- what file size checking specifically
[2019-3-25. : 11:00 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- In other news: I uploaded a new build last night with the tileset scroll fix, and a bunch of internal changes to data loading, including more strict file size checking. Let me know if it breaks any mods
[2019-3-25. : 8:55 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Suicidal Insanity it comes with ai functions. If you say "CSI enhance" it zooms onto the eye and you can see yourself shooting the photo.
I'm got a cheetah portrait somewhere where you can see that already :D
[2019-3-25. : 8:55 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: but damn that's a good lense lmao
Supposedly it matches the 400mm 2.8 @ f4 in terms of sharpness etc. I was planning on saving up a couple of years for the 400mm, now I'm not sure
[2019-3-25. : 8:54 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: Suicidal Insanity i refuse to spend any dime on nikkon products smh
Canon has a similar one if that's your preference.
[2019-3-25. : 8:54 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: is there a particular reason the fonts are encrypted in the first place?
Probably somebody thinking he was being clever :D
[2019-3-25. : 6:38 am]

[2019-3-25. : 2:10 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- which is why they are not encrypted on the CD
[2019-3-25. : 1:34 am]
jjf28 -- font files are highly confidential
[2019-3-25. : 1:33 am]

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- is there a particular reason the fonts are encrypted in the first place?
[2019-3-24. : 9:36 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- And since only files are affected that were modified with SC:R, I suspect its just a new feature
[2019-3-24. : 9:32 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- because now my lengths almost match the CD MPQs, only one byte off
[2019-3-24. : 9:23 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- But this may explain the discrepancies between farty's decoded files and mine
[2019-3-24. : 9:23 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- which just didn't exist back then
[2019-3-24. : 9:22 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- And found either a bug in DW's MPQ code, or maybe the encrypted font files were added to SC:R with a newer MPQ version
[2019-3-24. : 8:38 pm]
Moose -- =)
[2019-3-24. : 8:06 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- And so far my other checkout folders don't have any conflicts =)
[2019-3-24. : 8:01 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- My MPQ data reader now returns std::unique_ptr arrays =)
[2019-3-24. : 7:59 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- And each change is mostly independent of the others
[2019-3-24. : 7:59 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Naw, I've got half the changes now commited which are just various improvements that I implemented along the way
[2019-3-24. : 7:50 pm]
jjf28 -- and then that thing happens and all of your code everywhere needs to change ;)
[2019-3-24. : 6:08 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- I always implement stuff first, then figure out what all it touches and what else I updated along the way, and then commit it in pieces trying to keep them logically separate ....
