[2016-1-15. : 6:01 pm]

[2016-1-15. : 6:01 pm]

Sand Wraith shouted: I programmed a word-based version of the game Mastermind the other day.
I did one with a cpu
[2016-1-15. : 5:40 pm]
Vrael -- if you had any GUI stuff I'm just curious what packages you used, most of what I do in python is scientific computing so I havent delved much into that area but I might need to soon
[2016-1-15. : 5:38 pm]
Vrael -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Vrael lol I spelled hippie wrong I'm fucking stupid lmao
you also spelled laughing out loud and laughing my ass off wrong
[2016-1-15. : 5:37 pm]
Vrael -- I'm not familiar with Mastermind, but was your game all just terminal I/O or we talking like GUI stuff?
[2016-1-15. : 5:37 pm]
Dem0n -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: haha that is the first time I have ever been called a hippie
lol I spelled hippie wrong I'm fucking stupid lmao
[2016-1-15. : 5:36 pm]
Sand Wraith -- but I think I'll just never work on it again
[2016-1-15. : 5:36 pm]
Sand Wraith -- in Python* It's not quite single-player compatible yet since it still requires someone else to determine the secret phrase.
[2016-1-15. : 5:36 pm]
Vrael -- -- I mean, Good work, citizen.
[2016-1-15. : 5:36 pm]
Vrael -- cool dude
[2016-1-15. : 5:35 pm]
Sand Wraith -- I programmed a word-based version of the game Mastermind the other day.
[2016-1-15. : 5:35 pm]
Sand Wraith -- nice one
[2016-1-15. : 5:35 pm]
Vrael -- like, what if I start "feeling" things next? I'm not sure I'd even know how to react
[2016-1-15. : 5:35 pm]
Sand Wraith -- wait, really?
[2016-1-15. : 5:35 pm]
Vrael -- well you know it's a little disconcerting really
[2016-1-15. : 5:34 pm]
Sand Wraith -- what is even a hippie
[2016-1-15. : 5:34 pm]
Sand Wraith -- how do you feel Vrael? To be accused of having some sense of morality?
[2016-1-15. : 5:34 pm]
Vrael -- I'll take it
[2016-1-15. : 5:34 pm]
Vrael -- haha that is the first time I have ever been called a hippie

Vrael -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Mini Moose 2707 Not that I dislike Linux, but if I start to share my non-operations of things I tried with FreeBSD, CentOS and Debian, MS Windows would pale in comparision. :P
you take that back right now
[2016-1-15. : 5:02 pm]
lil-Inferno -- lmao
[2016-1-15. : 4:50 pm]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Corbo Corbo Sounds more like a NON-OPERATING system, rolling on the floor laughing!
Not that I dislike Linux, but if I start to share my non-operations of things I tried with FreeBSD, CentOS and Debian, MS Windows would pale in comparision. :P
[2016-1-15. : 4:36 pm]
NudeRaider -- also lmao at the 2nd to last paragraph. Yeah Bitcoin is dead. It might survive as something, but not as what it was originally founded.
[2016-1-15. : 4:20 pm]
NudeRaider -- "In other cases, entire datacenters were disconnected from the internet until the single XT node inside them was stopped. About a third of the nodes were attacked and removed from the internet in this way. Worse, the mining pool that had been offering BIP101 was also attacked and forced to stop. The message was clear: anyone who supported bigger blocks, or even allowed other people to vote for them, would be assaulted."
[2016-1-15. : 4:20 pm]
NudeRaider -- "That’s when the denial of service attacks started. The attacks were so large that they disconnected entire regions from the internet: “I was DDos’d. It was a massive DDoS that took down my entire (rural) ISP. Everyone in five towns lost their internet service for several hours last summer because of these criminals. It definitely discouraged me from hosting nodes.”"
[2016-1-15. : 4:19 pm]
NudeRaider -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: the article is interesting, it talks about recent, specific problems that have an easy solution but those in power are currently choosing not to take it
The more astounding bit I found was that the alternate Bitcoin that was developed (yay, Open Source) got sabotaged into oblivion. I never heard of DDoS attacks actually changing things. This is frightening tbh.
[2016-1-15. : 3:10 pm]
Roy -- Roy
Roy shouted: Upgrading from the desktop has been problematic every time I've seen it attempted.
[2016-1-15. : 2:43 pm]
Roy -- Or go back to Windows 7.
[2016-1-15. : 2:42 pm]
Roy -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: I cannot install vs2015. it just does not even start installing. crashed on splash screen. any ideas? I could only get 2010 working. 2013 doesn't work either
Do a fresh install of Windows 10 like I told you to. Or try reinstalling your runtimes.
[2016-1-15. : 2:38 pm]
Roy -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: fuck tabs to spaces autconvert. I want tabs for a reason
Is the reason "I use a terrible IDE"? Because that's the only reason to prefer tabs.
[2016-1-15. : 1:14 pm]
TF- -- 👻
[2016-1-15. : 11:54 am]
Moose -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: I cannot install vs2015. it just does not even start installing. crashed on splash screen. any ideas? I could only get 2010 working. 2013 doesn't work either
Corbo
Corbo shouted: make fun of me moose. That worked for w10 xD
Sounds more like a NON-OPERATING system, rolling on the floor laughing!

[2016-1-15. : 6:20 am]
KrayZee -- Zombies in Plants vs Zombies are dumb, but man are they high tech....
[2016-1-15. : 4:55 am]
Lanthanide -- I recommend watching at 2x speed
[2016-1-15. : 4:53 am]
jjf28 -- RIP
[2016-1-15. : 4:50 am]
jjf28 -- https://youtu.be/hxXIjBWwZgo
[2016-1-15. : 4:44 am]
Lanthanide -- I guess Satoshi could come back and slap everyone until they do the right thing
[2016-1-15. : 4:44 am]
Lanthanide -- alternatively those issues could all be resolved, or never amount to anything, and there are no long term problems at all
[2016-1-15. : 4:44 am]
Lanthanide -- and it also discusses longer term issues for which there is no clear solution, and which could turn into massive problems down the road
[2016-1-15. : 4:43 am]
Lanthanide -- the article is interesting, it talks about recent, specific problems that have an easy solution but those in power are currently choosing not to take it
[2016-1-15. : 4:41 am]
Corbo -- Interesting. I misread the whole article then. I confess i know next to nothing about how bitcoin works.
[2016-1-15. : 4:41 am]
Lanthanide -- in this case all of the people who hold bitcoins are the investors in the credit card company - not only would the CCC lose money if they keep being obstructionist asshats, but all of the investors do too
[2016-1-15. : 4:39 am]
Lanthanide -- this is much more like a credit card company that is refusing to add additional capacity to allow for expansion of their network, because the CEO and his brother are asshats
[2016-1-15. : 4:39 am]
Lanthanide -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: So... bitcoin has failed because it works exactly like any other currency? "just in a handfull of people"?
no, no other physical currency requires a handful of people to allow transactions. If you want to buy something from a shop, you just go to the shop and give them cash and they give you change; there's no middle man delaying your transaction
[2016-1-15. : 4:15 am]
Corbo -- make fun of me moose. That worked for w10 xD
[2016-1-15. : 4:07 am]
Corbo -- I cannot install vs2015. it just does not even start installing. crashed on splash screen. any ideas? I could only get 2010 working. 2013 doesn't work either

[2016-1-15. : 3:53 am]
jjf28 -- cause more problems then they solve :wob:
[2016-1-15. : 3:48 am]
Moose -- Gotta save those bytes, especially these days
[2016-1-15. : 3:46 am]
dumbducky -- fuck tabs to spaces autconvert. I want tabs for a reason
[2016-1-15. : 3:29 am]
Moose -- :wob:
[2016-1-15. : 3:19 am]
Roy -- Should be in Tools > Options > Text Editor > C/C++ > Tabs.
[2016-1-15. : 3:18 am]
jjf28 -- wonder if vs has that tab=x spaces thing for c++
[2016-1-15. : 3:17 am]
jjf28 -- tabs were bound to bite back someday
[2016-1-15. : 1:50 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I found a problem with tab indentation. I can't read it on my phone without tons of horizontal scrolling.
[2016-1-15. : 1:48 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Should I look at chkd while I wait for class to start?
[2016-1-15. : 1:46 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Wing Zero
Wing Zero shouted: You know, I was up since 4am, I was so loopy I thought I already opened my box
thanks for reminding me. Want a cut?
[2016-1-15. : 1:43 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I love that :wob: is just the only thing on my auto complete.
[2016-1-15. : 1:42 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- :wob:
[2016-1-15. : 12:38 am]
