[2016-5-04. : 1:22 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't need to know them. I just had to be able to come up with them on a whim for my final, which was yesterday[2016-5-04. : 1:22 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: FaRTy1billion You know you can get those from the double angle formulas and the cos and sin of sum formulas, respectively, right? probably, but instead of trying to figure out how to mathematically come up with them every time I needed to use them I just sort of found the patterns in them that make them make sense and make writing them incorrectly not make sense![]() [2016-5-04. : 1:10 am] Clokr_ -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: You know, if you used Linux, I'd have a great program for you to do this. I do use Ubuntu... Ok, not really. I just restart into Ubuntu to work with sage then run the hell out of it.[2016-5-04. : 1:08 am] Clokr_ -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: the only one I had any difficulties remembering just by looking at them were the sin or cos of x/2, and the tan(a+b) was a bit weirder than the others You know you can get those from the double angle formulas and the cos and sin of sum formulas, respectively, right? ![]() [2016-5-04. : 12:48 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Clokr_ True, but I'd think a random add 2 times a side length times a side length times the cosine of the angle between them is harder to remember than a thing over a sin of a thing, the whole of which is reversible. that one was ez, I didn't have trouble remembering it at all[2016-5-04. : 12:45 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- the only one I had any difficulties remembering just by looking at them were the sin or cos of x/2, and the tan(a+b) was a bit weirder than the others[2016-5-04. : 12:45 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: Mini Moose 2707 Mini Moose 2707 and cosine law is the pythagorean theorem a bit modded out! Then if you memorize either cos(a+b) or sin(a+b) you can deduce from that all the remaining formulas. I was doing those for my midterm xD[2016-5-04. : 12:44 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- also this Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: sin(A)/a =sin(B)/b = sin(C)/c. Doesn't even matter if you get it backwards and use the reciprocals. About as easy as it gets to memorize. [2016-5-04. : 12:44 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: FaRTy1billion There are like two complicated formulas, sine law and cosine law It was area of a triangle given only the sides. I barely know how to find the area in the first place.![]() [2016-5-03. : 8:58 pm] Moose -- You know, if you used Linux, I'd have a great program for you to do this.[2016-5-03. : 8:43 pm] Clokr_ -- Oh, windows 7 still has a sound recorder app, but you cannot save wavs anymore ![]() [2016-5-03. : 8:22 pm] Clokr_ -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Clokr_ True, but I'd think a random add 2 times a side length times a side length times the cosine of the angle between them is harder to remember than a thing over a sin of a thing, the whole of which is reversible. I must agree.[2016-5-03. : 7:38 pm] Moose -- lil-Infernolil-Inferno shouted: You really wrinkled my willies. Better get your dick wet, sounds like it's dehydrating![2016-5-03. : 7:23 pm] Moose -- I'm not saying either is difficult once you use it enough and know it, just that I found one to be easier than the other.[2016-5-03. : 7:22 pm] Moose -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: Mini Moose 2707 Mini Moose 2707 and cosine law is the pythagorean theorem a bit modded out! You have good taste, but it is even better if you add some rabbit ![]() [2016-5-03. : 6:26 pm] NudeRaider -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: It is fun, we have all the party and food you'd want save me some chicken paella!![]() [2016-5-03. : 5:11 pm] Clokr_ -- RoyRoy shouted: Clokr_ Time. Assuming you can even get a job, which is not that easy in this country ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_unemployment_rate ).[2016-5-03. : 5:03 pm] Roy -- Clokr_Clokr_ shouted: How do you make ~$20k without a loan if your family have no money and you have no studies to get a decent job? Time.[2016-5-03. : 4:06 pm] Clokr_ -- How do you make ~$20k without a loan if your family have no money and you have no studies to get a decent job?[2016-5-03. : 4:01 pm] Clokr_ -- Still, you'd probably have to take this into account: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage[2016-5-03. : 3:57 pm] Clokr_ -- I'm talking about an average university, but yes still a lot cheaper. On an expensive one you could maybe spend something on the range 15000€-20000€ which is still less than $25k.[2016-5-03. : 3:54 pm] Vrael -- 10000 euro is what, 13000 US? bachelors US could run you US 200,000 at an expensive school Not US 20,000[2016-5-03. : 3:51 pm] Clokr_ -- $200k is a bit too much. Here if you stay at your parent's you'd probably spend less than 10000€ for the whole basic degree + master's degree thing.[2016-5-03. : 3:49 pm] Clokr_ -- Also there are no student loans. There are grants but are limited, and most of them (specially for the first years) are based in your family income (and it has to be very low) and not on how good you are. So if you have no money and you don't receive a public grant there's no way to study and pay it later.[2016-5-03. : 3:47 pm] Clokr_ -- Here we probably have the worst of both worlds. University education is not free, although prices are supposedly not very high as universities are subsidized by the government. But a master's degree still costs ~3000€. And since part of the money is not public and new students don't choose the university by its reputation in Spain for some reason all of the universities try to make the courses as easy as possible to increase the cash income and you end up with the same boring do-a-lot-of-work-but-learn-nothing courses everywhere.[2016-5-03. : 3:42 pm] Vrael -- of course if you go to an ivy and major in philosophy you probably have rich parents and therefore no loan debt, so what do I know[2016-5-03. : 3:38 pm] NudeRaider -- I'm so glad that I live in a country where we decided we (kind of) like our offspring.[2016-5-03. : 3:33 pm] Vrael -- and I probably don't even have the worst debt out there... the fools who go to the ivy's and end up with like $200k, then get a job flipping burgers because they majored in philosophy... yeah, they win[2016-5-03. : 3:32 pm] Vrael -- luckily I have a good job so it should take significantly less.... but if theres one thing crushing my soul right now I'd give that spot to my loan debt still[2016-5-03. : 3:31 pm] Vrael -- lil-Infernolil-Inferno shouted: 2016 and not having your student loans paid off LMAO some of my loans have 25 year expected payoff lengths[2016-5-03. : 3:20 pm] Vrael -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: I thought we were going to do an education loans dick measuring contest hahhahahaha. hahahhahahaa. hhaaaa haa ahahahahahaa. haahahahahahhahahaha. |
