[2016-7-21. : 5:56 pm]
Vrael -- though I gotta say, if we just standardized and formalized some class methods and names, added a bit to automatically cleanup dynamic memory, and threw that in a loop to dynamically type things at runtime things would be so much easi OH MY GOD I JUST DESCRIBED PYTHON AGAIN
[2016-7-21. : 5:54 pm]
Vrael -- no wonder cecil hates OOP
[2016-7-21. : 5:54 pm]
Vrael -- C++ is so much more work
[2016-7-21. : 5:54 pm]
Vrael -- my god I had forgotten why I use python
[2016-7-21. : 5:28 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- :-(
[2016-7-21. : 5:25 pm]
Corbo -- Well, I am a capitalist. So no.
[2016-7-21. : 5:24 pm]
CecilSunkure -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: the poor.
[2016-7-21. : 5:24 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- Cecil gave some to me, so I guess he's talking about me.
[2016-7-21. : 5:19 pm]
NudeRaider -- the poor.
[2016-7-21. : 5:17 pm]
Corbo -- wait, who are we supposed to give mineralsto?
[2016-7-21. : 5:16 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- Yay! I no longer have a mineral deficiency!
[2016-7-21. : 5:15 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- :O
[2016-7-21. : 5:11 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Someone quick, award this man some minerals
[2016-7-21. : 5:08 pm]
CecilSunkure -- but you can't do class class, so then I do class asscl, and then finish it up as: class assclown {};
[2016-7-21. : 5:07 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Sometimes I feel like ass isn't respecting the word "class", so I want to add in "cl" back to the name
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
CecilSunkure -- It's natural to name it ass
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
Vrael -- class ass{};
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
Vrael -- how did you know I named my class ass?
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
Vrael -- doesn't it just hurt so good
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
CecilSunkure -- (cl as in the cl.exe compiler, and ass as in ass.cpp)
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
Vrael -- the semicolon
[2016-7-21. : 5:06 pm]
Vrael -- now the brackets are going down
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
CecilSunkure -- More like cl ass
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
Vrael -- now the name
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
Vrael -- already wrote the class keyword
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
Vrael -- too late
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
CecilSunkure -- No you can't.
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
CecilSunkure -- lol
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
Vrael -- doesn't that make you so angry
[2016-7-21. : 5:05 pm]
Vrael -- Cecil, I'm about to write a giant C++ class
[2016-7-21. : 5:04 pm]
Vrael -- I wuz triggurd
[2016-7-21. : 5:04 pm]
Vrael -- but srsly I posted in ur topic
[2016-7-21. : 5:02 pm]
CecilSunkure -- trig :hurr:
[2016-7-21. : 5:02 pm]
Vrael -- I have ben TRRRRRRIIIIGGGGGUUUUUUURRRRRHHHHHDDDD
[2016-7-21. : 4:48 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Trigger WarningTM
[2016-7-21. : 4:48 pm]
KrayZee -- A lot of rewards in the Harry Potter boxes.
[2016-7-21. : 4:48 pm]
jjf28 -- you've just revoked respect privileges :P
[2016-7-21. : 4:47 pm]
jjf28 -- CecilSunkure
CecilSunkure shouted: But in the SB I mostly just feed into the poor word definitions just to trigger people into looking up definitions themselves and hopefully forming their own opinion
:ex::cecil:
[2016-7-21. : 4:47 pm]
Corbo -- oh yeah, you're great
[2016-7-21. : 4:45 pm]
CecilSunkure -- But in the SB I mostly just feed into the poor word definitions just to trigger people into looking up definitions themselves and hopefully forming their own opinion
[2016-7-21. : 4:44 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Threads are good for actually making real points with substance
[2016-7-21. : 4:43 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Well the little discussion in the shoutbox was mostly people disagreeing on what words meant, or saying that OOP is prolific and therefor great
[2016-7-21. : 4:38 pm]
Corbo -- because I'm an asshole like that
[2016-7-21. : 4:38 pm]
jjf28 -- also, saving SEN from activity, saving programmers from learning tricks, etc.
[2016-7-21. : 4:36 pm]
jjf28 -- save me from my fun? HOW DARE YOU :flamer:
[2016-7-21. : 4:36 pm]
Corbo -- why are you arguing me? I am trying to save you guys :'(
[2016-7-21. : 4:36 pm]
jjf28 -- not me though, I just enjoy arguing :P
[2016-7-21. : 4:35 pm]
jjf28 -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: The point of arguing is that the two parts will at least take into consideration the other's point. Which cecil seems to be physically unable to do so, why argue? Don't enable him guys.
many debaters feel that the point of arguing is to sway observers, not your opponent
[2016-7-21. : 4:34 pm]
Corbo -- But you're batman, so there's that.
[2016-7-21. : 4:33 pm]
Corbo -- ok
[2016-7-21. : 4:33 pm]
Vrael -- I'll enable him
[2016-7-21. : 4:31 pm]
Corbo -- The point of arguing is that the two parts will at least take into consideration the other's point. Which cecil seems to be physically unable to do so, why argue? Don't enable him guys.
[2016-7-21. : 4:29 pm]
jjf28 -- ran two thoughts together in that sentence, but meh
[2016-7-21. : 4:29 pm]
jjf28 -- I'm not sure what's better (proc. or oop), however I have strong reason to believe many of his statements about how OOP is useless/thoughtless/bloat are false, so I'm pretty neutral, at least on the points we should be arguing
[2016-7-21. : 4:26 pm]
Corbo -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: o man, Corbo breakin' out the tumble weed
I'm tired of the argument. Basically it's everyone trying to convice cecil he's wrong. Literally everyone has advantages on OOP and trying to shove them up cecil's ass which is no longer fun. I mean tabs vs spaces was fun because people were split but right here it's only cecil being stubborn (and maybe right, I don't really know nor care) but it's just boring to see an argument so absolutely one sided.
[2016-7-21. : 3:49 pm]
CecilSunkure -- It's a *Lite* argument
[2016-7-21. : 3:49 pm]
CecilSunkure -- That's more or less the point
[2016-7-21. : 3:49 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Well honestly all arguments in the LD are sort of childish
[2016-7-21. : 3:48 pm]
Dem0n -- Nah, I don't know enough about the logistics of oop/non-oop to write a constructive post, but I can tell you that your arguments are childish at best
[2016-7-21. : 3:48 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Maybe I'll just straight up agree with you
[2016-7-21. : 3:47 pm]
CecilSunkure -- I promise I won't respond with BS
[2016-7-21. : 3:47 pm]
CecilSunkure -- If you have a real gripe post it in the topic
[2016-7-21. : 3:47 pm]
Dem0n -- "Non-oop code is easy to read" yeah because reading variable myVar******* is so easy to understand
[2016-7-21. : 3:46 pm]
CecilSunkure -- This is the first time we had a real example to even refute
[2016-7-21. : 3:46 pm]
CecilSunkure -- I don't really think anything has been refuted
[2016-7-21. : 3:46 pm]
Dem0n -- This isn't a discussion; this is you blabbing on about shit that everyone else on this site has already refuted, but you refuse to acknowledge it. Put this shit in null; all it is it nonsense.
[2016-7-21. : 3:46 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Also I don't think bias is a bad thing, I clearly have a real opinion based on my own experience
[2016-7-21. : 3:45 pm]
CecilSunkure -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Cecil your OP to your thread is so fucking biased and retarded I'm not even going to bother with that shit
Well nobody said you had to.
[2016-7-21. : 3:45 pm]
CecilSunkure -- DarkenedFantasies
DarkenedFantasies shouted: But... it was my first strike. :(
Yes I thought it was funny :)
[2016-7-21. : 3:45 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- But... it was my first strike. :(
