CecilSunkure -- Start building!

rockz -- Trump cares about a wall and I care about a wall though

Dem0n -- w/e
[2016-11-11. : 11:59 pm]
CecilSunkure -- because inf doesn't care about walls
[2016-11-11. : 11:59 pm]
rockz -- I was promised a wall
[2016-11-11. : 11:59 pm]
rockz -- Why aren't we building a wall anymore?

[2016-11-11. : 11:13 pm]
Lanthanide -- kinda like some of Trump's policies
[2016-11-11. : 11:13 pm]
Lanthanide -- I remember he had some ridiculous 'waterfront property' scheme that made no sense
[2016-11-11. : 11:12 pm]
KrayZee -- Anyone remember President Lex Luthor? Superman's supervillain?
[2016-11-11. : 11:12 pm]
KrayZee -- Anyone remember President Lex Luthor? Superman's supervillain?
[2016-11-11. : 11:09 pm]
Lanthanide -- and me donating $5,000 to them wouldn't make any difference
[2016-11-11. : 11:09 pm]
Lanthanide -- like building public roads, only the government does that
[2016-11-11. : 11:09 pm]
Lanthanide -- there are also things that it's simply not possible to donate for specific causes for
[2016-11-11. : 11:08 pm]
Lanthanide -- I'm more in favour of the people who are actually wealthy, paying their fair share of taxes and contributing to society
[2016-11-11. : 11:08 pm]
CecilSunkure -- MasterJohnny
MasterJohnny shouted: Damn it roy that was not a joke we really should abolish the electoral college
Just re-post with a little bit of "why"
[2016-11-11. : 11:07 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- apparently the file formats have changed so Skyrim SE mods have to just be opened & re-saved
[2016-11-11. : 11:06 pm]
Lanthanide -- actually that's not right; that'll be our debt, not NW
[2016-11-11. : 11:05 pm]
Lanthanide -- our networth will shortly be negative a million dollars (mortgages, yo)
[2016-11-11. : 11:05 pm]
Lanthanide -- although I have a large income, I don't think I'm rich by any stretch
[2016-11-11. : 11:05 pm]
Lanthanide -- true, but actually I don't do any of that
[2016-11-11. : 11:05 pm]
Moose -- Butch
Butch shouted: cant wait for the end of the world tbh
I was disappointed that Giant Meteor wasn't on the ballot.
[2016-11-11. : 11:04 pm]
Moose -- In the meantime, though, you can donate and give back to the community. And as a bonus, you can contribute directly to specific causes instead of how the government wants.
[2016-11-11. : 11:04 pm]
Lanthanide -- pretty much all surveys I've ever done simply have a bracket for $200k+ household income
[2016-11-11. : 11:03 pm]
Butch -- cant wait for the end of the world tbh
[2016-11-11. : 11:03 pm]
Lanthanide -- I always wonder how much I'd skew the demographics for any polling done
[2016-11-11. : 11:02 pm]
Lanthanide -- true
[2016-11-11. : 11:01 pm]
Moose -- If I even did, I didn't even put a quantifier on people so w/e LMAO
[2016-11-11. : 11:01 pm]
Moose -- OK, yes, I generalized too far.
[2016-11-11. : 11:00 pm]
Lanthanide -- ultimately in the long run I will gain more from a stable, well-educated and healthy society than I can get from money in my own pocket
[2016-11-11. : 11:00 pm]
Lanthanide -- I vote for parties that will put taxes up, not down
[2016-11-11. : 10:59 pm]
Lanthanide -- my partner and I between us make over $200k a year
[2016-11-11. : 10:59 pm]
Lanthanide -- I personally support a electoral parties that would be working against my personal best interests, but would work in the best interests of the country as a whole (IMO)
[2016-11-11. : 10:59 pm]
Lanthanide -- some people, anyway
[2016-11-11. : 10:58 pm]
Moose -- People support things that advantage them, what a shocker X^D
[2016-11-11. : 10:58 pm]
Lanthanide -- it's quite tiresome
[2016-11-11. : 10:58 pm]
Lanthanide -- not when its being going on for decades, no
[2016-11-11. : 10:58 pm]
rockz -- hypocrisy isn't interesting?
[2016-11-11. : 10:57 pm]
Lanthanide -- well, except in the sense that a car crash is interesting
[2016-11-11. : 10:57 pm]
Lanthanide -- nothing is interesting about republicans
[2016-11-11. : 10:56 pm]
rockz -- It's interesting how Republicans support a flat tax and unequal representation in the electoral college.
[2016-11-11. : 10:56 pm]
Lanthanide -- but if all states did it at once, it wouldn't be too bad
[2016-11-11. : 10:56 pm]
Moose -- I'd also be more interested in seeing a different voting system like approval voting or runoffs or whatever to go along with it.
[2016-11-11. : 10:56 pm]
Lanthanide -- there's a first-mover problem there, where states like California or Texas wouldn't want to change by themselves
[2016-11-11. : 10:56 pm]
Lanthanide -- another step in the right direction though could be proportional allocation of EC votes, as per Maine and Nebraska
[2016-11-11. : 10:54 pm]
Lanthanide -- one a national debate was underway, that 1/3rd support could easily swing towards either direction
[2016-11-11. : 10:54 pm]
Moose -- There are some states like Wyoming and Alaska that would lose out because they don't have a lot of population but a relatively higher ratio of electoral votes to population.
[2016-11-11. : 10:53 pm]
Lanthanide -- but if they make up 1/3rd of all states, then it would never be abolished
[2016-11-11. : 10:53 pm]
KrayZee -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: KrayZee KrayZee KrayZee Pretty naive to think this is only happening in one direction.
There are Hillary supporters attacking Trump supporters, of course. However, their own safety risk level is much higher.
[2016-11-11. : 10:53 pm]
Lanthanide -- Gallup found that only 1/3rd of Americans support the electoral college
[2016-11-11. : 10:53 pm]
Lanthanide -- hmm, fair enough, I hadn't actually considered distribution
[2016-11-11. : 10:47 pm]
Moose -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: Roy I don't think it's politically impossible, for example if a sitting president were to advocate for it, and to encourage voters to vote out any congressman, senator or state official who wouldn't vote in favour (yes, try and make an election, or a series of elections, about a single issue)
Even as a populist cause, you would still have to convince the people. Like, the small states know literally nobody going to campaign in Wyoming if the USA moves to a popular vote.
[2016-11-11. : 10:47 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: FaRTy1billion all I know on this subject, is when it was first released, the various mod managers didn't work wit hit
that's ok, I know how to install them manually
[2016-11-11. : 10:46 pm]
Moose -- KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: Many Trump supporters are official psychopaths and sociopaths right now.
KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: Many Hillary supporters are defending themselves since they're all mostly concerned for their own safety. Protests and riots do not turn them into psychopaths if it's for a good cause.
KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: Trump supporters are literally harassing and attacking Hillary supporters, people of different ethnicities, background and religion.
Pretty naive to think this is only happening in one direction.
[2016-11-11. : 10:45 pm]
KrayZee -- If Putin wants to ally the US because of Trump, he would have to reassure Americans for their safety. Instead, it's like he's enjoying the show of the former cold war superpower rival burn.
[2016-11-11. : 10:44 pm]
Lanthanide -- which rather makes it difficult to use most mods, I would imagine
[2016-11-11. : 10:44 pm]
Lanthanide -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: do existing skyrim mods work on SE? I assume ones that require outside scripting or whatever won't
all I know on this subject, is when it was first released, the various mod managers didn't work wit hit
[2016-11-11. : 10:43 pm]
Lanthanide -- Roy
Roy shouted: MasterJohnny Blame the person that reported you. Lite Discussion isn't a place for unfounded hyperbole: if you believe we should abolish the electoral college, you should at least explain why, or even how. Suggesting a task that is politically impossible is something more suited to the Shoutbox, or maybe in a Null discussion.
I don't think it's politically impossible, for example if a sitting president were to advocate for it, and to encourage voters to vote out any congressman, senator or state official who wouldn't vote in favour (yes, try and make an election, or a series of elections, about a single issue)
[2016-11-11. : 10:43 pm]
KrayZee -- As if Trump as President-elect gives them the green light to attempt murder.
[2016-11-11. : 10:42 pm]
KrayZee -- Trump supporters are literally harassing and attacking Hillary supporters, people of different ethnicities, background and religion.
[2016-11-11. : 10:42 pm]
KrayZee -- Many Hillary supporters are defending themselves since they're all mostly concerned for their own safety. Protests and riots do not turn them into psychopaths if it's for a good cause.
[2016-11-11. : 10:35 pm]
Dem0n -- So are Hillary supporters.
[2016-11-11. : 10:30 pm]
KrayZee -- Many Trump supporters are official psychopaths and sociopaths right now.
[2016-11-11. : 10:30 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- do existing skyrim mods work on SE? I assume ones that require outside scripting or whatever won't
[2016-11-11. : 10:28 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: FaRTy1billion for memes
hyperbolic memes?
[2016-11-11. : 10:28 pm]
Pr0nogo -- Memes are for corpses
[2016-11-11. : 10:25 pm]
Moose -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: Roy Roy but without hyperbole, what's the point of saying anything at all? :(
for memes
