[04:56 am]  Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. EUD Editor 3 is kind of the standard these days, but I still recommend EUD Editor 2 as an entry point (it's still what I use). It's incredibly easy to do small stuff, and there's a nearly infinite ceiling for what you can do with clever enough EUDs. Kevin's idea is a good one, I think SkywinDragoon made a good tutorial on adding custom buttons in EE2. |
