Then try showing it in your maps.

Yep, I know plenty about the balance of the game thanks.

Symmetry wrote on Jun 12 2008, 10:31 pm:
Sorry, rather, about the *balance* of the game.

I've been playing Starcraft since 98, I know plenty about the game thank you.

If you've played through the map and never had issues with balance, it's probably because you don't know enough about the game of Starcraft >.< And I like the stick in my ass, thank you very much.

I've played through the map a great many times and have had no issues with balance whatsoever. Fact is a "balanced" map by your definition DOES mean symmetrical and DOES mean that everything has to work out perfectly for any given context. The bueaty of starcraft being a war game is that not everyone has an equal chance every time. You have to deal with it. Truthfully you're quite entitled to your opinion as nonsense as I think it is, but really I'd like to ask you to please wedge out that stick stuck up in your ass. It's fine if you wanted to comment on the map or even be critical, but commenting and criticizing is not synonymously with acting patronizing just because you dislike something. If you don't want to play the map then simply don't. If you want to make any real criticism go right on ahead. Otherwise good day to you sir, move on with your life.

Who said symmetrical? I said BALANCE.

Optics wrote on Jun 11 2008, 8:46 pm:
Oh please. If starcraft was about being perfectly symmetrical and absolute it'd be dull. Lots of great blizzard made maps have unsymmetrical elements to them. That's what makes the gameplay interesting. I'm not trying to convince you to play this particular map, nor anyone really. I'm just putting it out there on the off chance somebody will download it. I've played plenty of games on it already - both games i've won and lost against people of equal skill level to me and have not once run into any issues. I enjoy the map. I enjoy the challenge of a map that's not laid out as if it was perfectly designed for each and every unit. I like playing maps that force me to use terrain instead of giving me a big box to build 50 barracks. If you don't that's your choice. So be it.

Symmetry wrote on Jun 11 2008, 7:45 pm:
...or we could play an actual balanced map... If you want to make maps that people will play, it's gotta be at least remotely balanced...

Optics wrote on Jun 11 2008, 7:22 pm:
Everything you described was done so purposely. If you want a neat symmetrical perfect layout go play a money map or big game hunters.

Uhh the mains are so small it's not even funny. Also, you have way too many minerals in random spots. Those narrow path ways with high cliff all throughout the map are going to be a utopia for Siege Tanks.
