File Description
This is pretty much the only melee that I made and actually like. Winter Fest turned out to be a rushed piece of shit in the end, but Eternal Red took about three times longer to develop. I encountered glitch after glitch, errors and problems in the maps, but I managed to fix it all out, and hail this out. It actually is pretty much my 'First' Fastest map, since Winter Fest had lots of terrain that needed to be fixed up, so I decided to create another map with those fixes. The reason I chose the Ash World Tileset was because it's a tileset that isn't popular around in the Fastest maps, and Red looks cooler.

Map Details:
- Size: 128 x 128
- Tileset: Ash World
- 40 Minerals and Eight Geysers at each base, at 50,000 ore/gas.
- Can be used with StarCraft and Brood War.

I hope you decide to give the map a try or two, as it's my favorite melee map I made ever.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
