Unless there's a good reason for getting the asus 785, the gigabyte 790 is better.

Both are excellent chipsets, but the 785 comes with onboard, which should serve you no purpose. Not to mention, $80 for almost any gigabyte ATX motherboard is a steal.

Careful when unlocking cores on the callisto. There's a pretty good chance that you won't be able to.

The 785 is because the 790 I found was DDR2 only, and the other 790s are a fair bit more expensive.

If unlocking the cores doesn't work, I can either send it back or just use it as a dualcore.

If I can get kingston DDR3 cheaper than corsair DDR3, should I? Or is corsair worth the extra dollars?

The sword and the faith

I wouldn't go with Kingston, the one time I dared use some of their RAM on a build for a friend, it was nothing but problems and errors.

I've used Kingston plenty of times in customer machines and in my own machines, every company is bound to give you a bad experience at some time or another, and simply deciding they must be bad after one try is an oversimplification, I'd say if the Kingston RAM is the cheapest for the quality, go with it.

None.

haha for sure. in some ways it's even more exciting because you can play EUD maps on regular battle.net, don't need to convince someone to download your mod to play with you. what did you do?
