Trigger
Players

  • 1
  • Conditions

  • Player 7 Brings at least one unit to location B
  • Actions

  • Display for current player:blablabla
  • play sound transmission.wav
  • wait for 2000 milliseconds
  • display for current player: bla bla
  • Play sound transmission.wav
  • set switch 02

  • That roughly what the trigger looks like, it gets past the first transmission but then nothing happens after that, it just stops. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and if I remove the wait, it plays fine. And i am using hyper triggers

    http://www.staredit.net/wiki/Wait_Blocks

When you run mutliple waits, they stack, and if used with hyper triggers, they tend to never fire, since the wait never ends. Split the trigger into multiple sections, and use death counters as a timer instead of waits. Death counters are what make good mappers.

I also realize you may not have known this, or even how to search for this problem, but this is a fairly common problem. Please refer to http://www.staredit.net/topic/7783/ for future reference before starting new threads, since a lot of answers are there. Even though it's currently not a true FAQ per se, there are many things you can still learn from it. If anything is still unclear, you can post here, but please refer to both the wiki (found under StarCraft->Wiki) and the FAQ&A. There is also the search function (Community -> Search) which isn't as good as google's search, but still a search nonetheless. http://www.staredit.net/topic/3639/ is also a very good thread to read, if you didn't read it before posting. There's only 7, so it's not that bad of a read.

Thanks, I did what the link said and put my hypers at the bottom of all my triggers and it works fine now.

Ultraviolet -- That's strange, it looks like you targeted the base image file (sometimes people make the mistake of just using the imgur page link which doesn't work for embedding) but it still didn't work it sounds like.

ManCubuS -- I should try a workaround, thanks! Sadly imgur is blocked in my country for some unknown reason.

NudeRaider -- I think SEN has trouble with https or hotlinking is forbidden. It certainly is nothing about the size, it just fails to get any size. You can get it working if you use imgur and include the actual image link for the img tag. Like this: [img=https://i.imgur.com/ddYqXZa.jpeg]

ManCubuS -- Hey fellas! Anyone knows why when I try to upload an image it says "failed to get image size"? I even tried making it so small. Imgur isn't working here and I tried postimg no luck.
