Well, I was told before that I could make a 1 square ranged - grid by using a Combination of Scourges and Observers. However, I have been JUST doing some debugging and research because i tried making a grid with this combo, and it doesnt work. they arent the right sizes. Is there another way to make a grid (ground or air) with a 1x1 terrain square Size?

Ive tried all of these and most of their combinations:
Scouts
Interceptors
Mutalisks
Observers
Scourges
Valkyeries
Wraiths
Command Centers (By Off-Placing it using a devourer grid first)
Barrackses
Carriers

Protip: Read what you link to before you post.

The only 1x1 thing there is Scourges/Observers Mixing grid.

Once again, do you know of any other 1x1 grids? It isnt perfect. i need a perfect 1x1 grid.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Pyro, you are condemning his answer because of a wrong assumption of yours. Observers and Scourges DO form a perfect 1x1 grid.
You have to alternate obs and scourge so it looks like this:
SOS
OSO
SOS
I'm not sure, but maybe you have to switch O and S. You can easily test that.

Don't know what else could go wrong. And afaik that's the only perfect 1x1 grid.

I beleive I've made every possible combination of the scourge + observer mix. When held there, they all conflict and start floating around like stacked air units. The grid for these isn't working. Something is going wrong, and I've checked the triggers so many times, I've memorized the bloody thing. It's perfect, and should be working like a clock that has just been cleaned. The only possible explanation that I can see is that the grid isn't correct.

-----------------------EDIT==============================
My God, I feel like such an asshole and a noob at the same time. I was wrong to condemn and ignore my mistake. I had a gap in the triggers that I thought I finished, but was pulled away for something.
Rockz, Nude, I'm sorry >.<

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
