Are you sure? The last time LocalID filling order was discussed, it was concluded they filled in numerical order regardless of gaps first, recompiling a list of empty LocalIDs every time ID the last was filled.
That is how the powerup glitch works as far as I know. The hallucination dies and the next unit created fills its slot.

Also, now that I think more of it, I've used a memory editor to give units order#0 (death) and creating more units made it possible to edit the exact same value to kill something else.

Well then I guess the answer is yes :P

We had just concluded otherwise before, and it made sense as a way of assigning local IDs that was very low on processing. Time to change my explanations.

It fills whatever empty ones are. I forgot to specify 'something else' as the new unit being created.

Also I remembered another instance...
Once me and a friend found a glitch that allowed a player to select a unit that was destroyed. If the other player built something, the unit would appear selected for whoever had the 0/x unit selected. That would not happen if the addresses were not reused.

I have a question..

I used the program ArtMoney, and I found values with the interger I inputed, but when I attempted to filter, -1. It could not find any, why is this? Thanks.

Why would you attempt to filter -1? I don't see what that would accomplish other than saying "no values found."

I mean if you ask artmoney to grab all the memory locations with an integer of 2834 and then you remove all the results where the integer is not equal to -1 of course you're going to have nothing left.

Ressurecting old topics is kind of dumb, especially when you can just search "eud" and find tons of stuff.
