I'm making an map in SC about Modern Warfare....one question arises though....which unit best represents a Marine with a MANPAD....i've seen many other units being used for this and i thought it would be nice if everyone gave their idea of what that unit should be...

I would say a ghost would be the closest if it be an infantry
Otherwise it would be like a tank but that isnt anti air, so i guess you'd have to do some crazy crap like a marine that fires objects using triggers/locations/units/effects.

maybe but since u command many units its kinda hard... i can give it to the commander (Hero Rine)... but he already has the ability to call an Air Strike....itr would have to be a observer trigger where a scout or something flys to ur observer blows it up and anything in that on area

A kerrigan ghost, since she holds the weapon near her shoulder, unlike all the other ghost-units do. She's a female though. :P

Goliath? It has guns for ground fighting, and fires missiles at air.

People heal slowly, and only from minor injuries; severe injuries, however, such as loss of limbs, loss of sensory organs, extensive injuries causing external or internal scarring, etc, do not heal, and in fact, without medical attention, a wounded human will get worse, and may even die from infection of the wounds.

And they heal so slow it won't matter.

If your using low-HP than just give it less health than infantry to compensate.

We do a little trolling

I still haven't seen anyone say what a MANPAD is.. Also for some reason I can't see images in posts, wonder why..

My Projects:

Impossible Ultraviolet | Impossible UV 2 | Impossible UV 3
Mercenaries 2020 | Mercenaries III
Squad Defense

Legacy Projects (No guarantee of functionality in modern SC):

Pixel Adventure 2 | Space Snipers | Control the Ball

Ya the Infantry in my game only have 20 hp....but i can make the hydra do 20 damage because it has weakened damage to infantry...but by how much???

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
