How do you accelerate the game so units attack and move twice as fast? Tried searching the forums but i found nothing. Do I need to use Datedit? If so how to I incorporate a Datedit file and a starcraft map file? Thanks in advance.

Placing a p15 scarab or map revealer does it as long as it has the top spot in the unit array.

One of them just increases framerate for units, one increases speed AND framerate.

Here's the oldwiki article on it for more details.

Thanks!

EDIT:
Oh TiKels, I have a question. It says it has to be the first unit you place on the map. If there is map I have already made that I want to increase the speed of, could I just copy the units, delete them, place the scarab or map revealer or w.e, and the paste the units back onto the map?

SCMDraft has a function to move a unit up the array. That information is a little outdated, but that is how we used to do it.

Assuming you have a pretty recent version of scmdraft, click the unit, hit properties, hit the button "Move to top" and it'll change the index number to 0, which is the first number.

Ultraviolet -- just sent you a message on Discord. I suspect you're probably trying to change unit speeds for units that don't use flingy.dat for movement (like any units that walk instead of hovering/flying). You can change their movement to flingy, but they unfortunately look more like they're gliding than walking when you do that.

Symmetry -- EE2, I've been using setdatfile successfully for units.dat and weapons.dat but the flingy changes don't seem to happen

Ultraviolet -- in EE2 you just open DatEdit, go to the flingy tab, and make whatever changes you want. Though if you want to do dynamic shit, you have to use the trigger editor with the setdatfile action. And of course you have to inject your changes when done. Can give more specific troubleshooting advice if you provide more details
