since I haven't got a chance to play it I'll just comment on the screenies :)

the game looks wonderful. However since I'm picky I'm scratching my head over the metallic look of the building unless it was some sort of industrial area, then it would make sense. Must say though I like the outside area, looking good :)

You should see some of the areas I've been working on. As compared to SC1, I can actually make things that look like real city streets. >_>

The map "Metalopolis" on its own has a city feel. :P

Added a library and a strip mall. Procceding with doodading and adding more roads. Interiors on SC2 aren't that bad, but they might look more bootleg then SC1's. >_>

As long as the game functions, we're fine. Art can come last.

Though if anyone reading this has some nice modeling skills, feel free to contribute :D

If anything, we could use a solid model of a table, chair, and a shelf. That would solve all of our problems, since we can already do windows and barricades in SC2 with other units.

Speaking of windows I should probably upload our current window. Turns out reusing those doodads you see once or twice in the campaign is FTW.

I have OK modelling skills but haven't got 3d studio max to convert to .m3, so unless one of you guys have got it and will convert stuff for me, I can't help.

Oh and I just realised, because of region locking, I can only test on Asia&ANZ servers :(

I just learned what a strip mall was because of this thread.

It was not what I first thought :hurr:

You don't know what a strip mall is? D:

Where the fuck do you live? You know. They're those line of shops, basically usually holding various either resteraunts, pawn shops, cell phone stores, and whatnot.

They don't call em strip malls in just about any country except America :P
In NZ we call them "the shops"

Sorry about the lack of updates lately, Ive been working here and there, and managed to break my damn map. Half the triggers wont even work now.

Until I resolve this issue, this is probably on hold. If anyone here has or knows how to fix an underflow issue that would be great.

If you make a zombie map, do it very well... Remember that ambiance is key, if a person isn't alone, afraid, low on bullets, dying, and shitting themselves all at the same time, it's not a good map.

Oh of course. Ammo is going to be not only quite a task to get, but WILL force the players to split up periodically.

Considering...they'll even be able to find any at all. Muwahaha.

Haven't been able to test it yet. I see you online in a custom game, but you never respond to me!

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
