Is there any way to disable the Terran "Lift" so I don't have to waste a couple triggers on a no lift ban?

EDIT:
That was probably a stupid question. Enable/Disable correct?

It is not possible to disable lift.

There is no trigger limit so there's no "wasting" of anything going on here. Use the method described here:

Actually you're wrong, because I used disable "Doodad" and it worked for me.

Well what he meant is you can't do it for active buildings. Usually you want buildings to build something in them. After disabling them they cease functioning. If you just need it for tech, then go ahead and disable it.

@Aristocrat: Actually, there is a trigger limit. It's something like 65000.

Who saves games anyways?

I believe it's 2^16 triggers, since that is a binary number and would make sense.

2^16 triggers crash when you save the game, 65535 and you are fine. So yes, 2^16. ;)

I didn't know you could use that many triggers, so why does it say at the bottom of scmdraft 227/255 triggers? Did I say triggers in my first question? I meant Locations. Sorry.

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
