You mean one that's powered? I believe that's impossible, but you can give the illusion of there not being a pylon there by putting the building on top of one.

also, does this work on terran addons too?

Put a location over the build and use "Enable Doodad State" with "Preserver Trigger" i think\

Ofc you can do it. Just center a location on the cannon and enable it constantly or it will lose power again.

No, it doesn't work on terrain add-ons, if you want them to stand alone you need to preplace them.
