is there any way to make nukes come down instantly out of the sky with the ai nuke here script ?

like instead of having a ghost use his red laser thing and there be a big delay of like 5 seconds then the nuke falls down out of the sky, is there a shortcut to just having the nuke fall from the sky, land, and explode ?

that way people wont really have time to pack up and leave the area before the nuke hits.

None.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

with damage and the right explosion:
-> only with ghost calling the nuke (just make an intro scene or somehting else that the player's waste 1 minute untill they can move their units in that area)

without damage and the right explosion:
-> preplace a nuke straight above the area and move it to the area with "set generic command target" and "make these untis patrol" ai scripts (needs to be a computer). Then kill the nuke when it arrives at its destination and make some damage with modify hp or just kill the units in that area. Make sure you got some cloaked (can be uncloacked, but doesn't look prefessional) battlecreuisers to have a bigger explosion because the nuke has only a small dieing explosion.

my ideas:
spawn a cloaked ghost here, and ler him nuke exactly on the red dot
-or-
i dont know if this work, but: make many locations [or a mobile grid] and teleport the nuke missle [created as a unit in the map] 1x1 down,down,down.... till it "hits".... but how to simulate the nuke hit, no idea....

i think ghosts are necesary...

If you want a nuke explosion, only the real thing will give it to you.

Preplaced nukes will never explode, when you kill them they have the same death explosion as wraith missles. The best thing you can do is just have a big explosion. Although, if it's at the very beginning of the map, you can preplace a nuke explosion sprite, and it will blow up at the beginning.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
