Hello

Ahli and I just tested other p15 units
As I treid the p15 Scanner Sweep the units WONT move!!!
Well... you can move the units as long as the "scanner sweep" is playing it's animation
but after this: Not Moveable!!!
i just think that this is the "Blizzard key for "pause" in replays" ^^

i just tested it with some teran units....
scary: vultures still can attack!...

Is that actually useful in any way? Other than that it's kinda cool?

None.

even if you could do some things with it, these things vary from patch to patch, so next patch it will most likely crash you.
I could do the unmoveable units thing with P14 map revealer at previous versions.

I admit, it's a pretty nice find, although uses are quite limited, is it all units, or units placed before or after the Scanner Sweep?

Not really, because you can only do it at the start of the game, however, have you found how units work when created via triggers? Maybe this would be a good way to have frozen units.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

after death animations the map crashes...

btw, i can do the immobile, notvision giving, through fog selectable with mouse, supply using, no toss shild animation playing and immortal units with e.g. 0/100 hitpoints with p15 scarab...

👻 👾 👽 💪

I remember this from a long ways back... I think Disruption Web and Dark Swarm do the same things.

TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )
EUD Action Enabler - Lightweight EUD/EPD support! (ChaosLauncher/MPQDraft support!)
EUDDB - topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!
EUDTrig - topic - Quickly and easily convert offsets to EUDs! (extended players supported)
SC2 Map Texture Mask Importer/Exporter - Edit texture placement in an image editor!

i don't think so: each unit which is "see-able" during the game CRASHES at start....
i didn't test it now, but maybe darkswarm and web doenst crash because of beeing a spell..

👻 👾 👽 💪

Another thing I just remembered from long ago is they just repeat their last animation. If you tell a unit to walk, once it freezes then it will continue walking (in place) indefinitely.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
