Ok well I made a few melee maps, There not the greatest, but I'm still a beginner at making melee maps so yeah, anyway here are some pictures:

(4)King of the Hill

(4)The Divide

(Brood War Only!)

(8)Trench Wars

This one is probably best for UMS instead of melee because in melee there are random start locations, and this is meant for each team to be on one side.

Well those are my maps, try not to give me to much crap on how bad they are, they are my first three attempts at making melee maps.

Dungeon Master

If you're going to try and make melee maps in any sort of serious manner (I'm guessing you just made these for fun?) you should have a look at maps that are commonly played (in leagues) and see how they're set up and decorated. Also, have a look at a guide for balance. I believe one can be found somewhere on SEN.

The sword and the faith

These have all the effort put into them as a doodle on my class notes. Try harder or don't try.

He doesn't play melee either. Why make melee maps, when you don't even play melee at all?

Because his attempts at making "HUGE FASTEST" failed, and he is trying something new.

None.

I don't play melee, but a lot of people still think that my maps are good. >.>

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
