is it possible to detect pings at a location using EUD?
like let's say... if someone pings in Location A, they will get 1 marine.. ?
how would i begin looking for the offsets?
thx
None.
lmao. Take a look at the known EUDs
http://farty1billion.dyndns.org/EUDDB/Nowhere on this do I see a "ping", but farty should be able to help you out with whether or not pings are stored in a readable location.
As for how you'd begin looking for the offsets, I don't think there's a good way. It's not exactly a shared value, since only those people who you are allied to get to see it. Perhaps you can think of a different way to accomplish it.
Screen position might be one, although it's not shared, so no multiplayer. I think a selection system would be MUCH better, so you just press a hotkey and get a marine instead.
"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
i NEED to do this with pings
None.
Then no, it's not possible.

Triggers itself can easily detect if StarCraft is being played in multiplayer and a speed from slowest to fastest. I assume THESE triggers are enough that can detect latency and frame rate issues during gameplay. It isn't hard.
You do not need any need of the Extended Unit Death triggers, the best answer that I can give would be death count triggers, accumulating resources, custom score, elapsed time detecting that through conditions. Include hyper triggers.
This trigger can go for all death counts, accumulating resources and custom score.
CONDITIONS
Always
ACTIONS
Modify death counts for Current Player: Add 1 for Terran Marine.
Issue order to all Terran Marine owned by current player at 'Location 1': move to 'Location 2'
Move All Terran Marine for Current player at 'Location 2' to 'Location 1'.
Preserve Trigger.
CONDITIONS
Current Player has suffered exactly 100 deaths of Terran Marine.
ACTIONS
Modify death counts for Current player: Set to 0 for Terran Marine.
Preserve Trigger.
CONDITIONS
Current player has suffered at most 99 deaths of Terran Marine.
Current player brings exactly 0 Terran Marine to 'Location 2'.
ACTIONS
Display for current player:The game is currently lagging.
And yes, the distance between Location 1 and Location 2 is required.

The question is not about the ping delay, but about minimap pings.
You bring up an interesting point, KrayZee. How would you go about detecting who has such a large ping, and auto ban them?

He should at least be specific. Don't make my edit without a notice of your reply a waste of effort.

That's hard to pull off, since everyone will experience the same thing.

Probably there is no way, as starcraft is being synchronized.
We had a topic that follwed the idea to detect the lag window via EUDs but probably you won't find out
who the lagger is thus the discussion ended without a result.
I also don't like his name, "Abc123". I can easily assume he registered with such unoriginal name just for 'help'.

EDIT: oh sorry, i'm abc123, i got 2 staredit accounts and accidentally logged on with abc123 i guess
None.
I thought I was the only one with two accounts.

This be awesome if you could detect the location of a minimap ping. Finding the memory offset would be pretty damn hard though. There might be a way to find the (x,y) values of the mouse ontop of the minimap though. If that can be found, you could probably have the mouse hover over the minimap when you build a unit.
i NEED to do this with pings
Could you be a little more specific by when you say a player pings the minimap, and gets a marine? Do you get a marine at the location you pinged? Or just get a reinforcement unit from a random spot?
None.
