Not bad, not bad at all. I knew you could make a pretty decent blend between those two ramps, I just never worked out the exact tiles.

What's the tree sprite hiding? :bleh:

This is a sample of what I'm trying to do right now (blend those damn "temple hole" doodads. They are so hard to blend to anything).

Dungeon Master

Ah, I remember the epic reverse hole doodad. Well done.

:voy: :jaff: :voy: :jaff:

Jul 11 2008, 1:23 am stickynote Post #183

It's a hole. But it looks like a wall. :wtfage:

@killer kow: Are there more of these reversed hole doodads? I want to see some more.

Where can i find some maps with this kind of great stuff :wtfage: :dontgetit:

I'm glad to see you interested in terraining, but please don't post the same question in 4 different topics, post it in one and I'm sure it will be answered. Read through the first and second post here, it has links to terraining tutorials and maps with terrain in them.

Nice trying new this sticky, basic, but you need the basics :P Good job using only one sprite, btw.

And WilYam, didn't you do a ship thing using those doodads a little while back?

Jul 11 2008, 4:25 am stickynote Post #185

A ship? Like a boat ship?
@the great yam: the sprite is only hiding a little rock that sticks out, which annoys me, but maybe not other people.

It was supposed to be a crashed ship. Although, it has given me an idea... Perhaps a ship using water doodads...

Here is a dirt to high dirt cliff. I made several versions, but I think these two look the best.

Oooh, that's quite creative, nice job with that :) I think a few more pieces and I'll have to boot JaBoK down :P

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

I hope that stickynote still wants to create some terrain for my d1 map after I finished the first version.
He's really skilled in terraining. :uberw00t:

Jul 12 2008, 7:13 pm Falkoner Post #190

Yeah, the only reason I haven't booted him to the top is because JaBoK has tons that are just plain amazing new blends.

None.

Jul 12 2008, 7:27 pm JaFF Post #191

I just looked at the first post, and noticed a mistake: I should be #5 and UNORIGINAL should be #6.

:payne:

Sticky, I've seen these blends in an old topic in screenies, do you remember that project?

None.

Jul 12 2008, 8:13 pm Falkoner Post #193

Thanks JaFF, fixed.

Hm, speaking of which, it's about time for me to make something new. If you knocked me down a few pegs my terrain output might increase lol.

Which project? Was it a finished map, or in production?

Jul 12 2008, 9:32 pm payne Post #196

:payne:

In production... something about africans, but I'm not sure :O

I'll post a couple, not all though. Pick the ones you like the best.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
