Randomly my screen goes completely black. This used to occur with a low frequency, but it would always come back up after 10-30 seconds. However, now I have to leave the computer off for 5-30 minutes when this happens to restore it. I know it's probably the monitors fault because I can still hear sounds as normal. How can I solve this?

Check the cables connecting your monitor to your computer.
This happened to me once. Turned out one of the prongs in the connection plug was missing.
