What are the various programs that can compress maps to a smaller filesize?

I read recently that there's no point trying to protect your maps too much (apart from against the rookie b.net public), so which gives the best compression rate :)?

None.

Cheers for the fast response.

Do you happen to have download links for them as well? Google is giving me ancient links :(

EDIT: oh hello there -_-

👻 👾 👽 💪

I started a map compressor, but it does a wierd thing where BroodWar claims it is for an expansion set. >.> The maps I tested compressed to about 21% thier original size (which probably means I left out something important, maybe :P.)

Ya i read you were developing "tinymap"? haha which would be the answer to my problem I'm sure.

My filesize is creeping up there (nothing substantial), but I'm yet to duplicate the triggers for other players. So I'm hoping compression can take a dent out of the filesize. About to do some testing once I find the programs :)

lol, yeah.
I just fixed the maps being unplayable. I forgot to write ONE section (+20 bytes to chk, including headers). :P
Still has a few issues, though.
LOL. Even though it is valid in SC, it nukes Heimdal's map preview.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"

Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
