We can tell the artists have some obsession with fat purple things since burning crusade. Seriously though everything in that expansion is bright colors (typically purple) and chunky, fat, or just bloated. Then for Starcraft 2 we see this and go WTF:
And now this is concept art for the next Diablo (and stop fucking calling it Diablo 3, its not going to be called that because they're butchering it into an MMO).

Reasons it's likely Diablo 3:
- Patch 1.12 for Diablo removing the need for the disk to be in to play.
- Blizzard buying up every diablo3 domain they could.
- The rumor about the next Diablo being set in a world where "Hell froze over."
- Imagine is linked as "ice1"
- That image is called ice1. If you remember Diablo II v1.11, they said hell was freezing over. It's not a movie, so it doesn't matter if it is reused. There are satanic symbols in the ice if you look closely.
- June 29th is the 10th year anniversary of Diablo II.
- Diablo III is probably going to be announced next Sunday [upcoming tradeshow]. If it isn't announced at either WWI or Blizzcon, don't expect it any time soon.
- Diablo III is most likely an MMO because Blizzard has been hiring for MMO work for quite a while. I loved the old hack n' slash, but I think that if it was an MMO, it would be the best one to date.
The Ice seems to be cracking more and more as the day goes by too.
From the picture, I see the Hel and Shael rune too. Also, if you look carefully, you can see the aspects of diablo. The red skin, eyes, horns, and etc.
Definitely Diablo 3. I bet all my minerals on it.
