My new OS: Windows Vista 64-bit does not support X-Tra editor, I'm having some problems with StarForge and I'm using SCM Draft 2 to make the map but there is no trigger editing in that, so... Anybody know a program I can use that is simple for editing the triggers other than basic blizzard campaign editor because that doesnt support all the things I've done to the map.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

SCMDraft 2 has two trigger editors, a Classic trigger editor (like normal StarEdit with the more advanced features), and a Text based trigger editor, which should be your new best friend because its much faster and easier then the classic GUI (for most people at least) since you can copy/paste + find/replace and even using programs/scripts to generate triggers.

SCMDraft 2 has a trigger editor. Click Scenario->Trigger Editor, or Classic Trigger editor. If you can't find it, then maybe you have a really old version of SCMDraft 2. http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/downloads/scmdraft2ZIP/

EDIT: Darn, poiuy beat me to it.

aka idmontie

I WAS currently working on a trigger editor with VB, but I dropped it when I started on my Parser... Maybe I'l pick it up one day. Untill then, there is a stand alone trigger editor:

👻 👾 👽 💪

I have the parser but not the compiler. :P
Also SCMDraft's triggers are fail... Some things are in quotes, others are not. It's confusing. Also it's classic is horrible. I can't just type half of it and continue on. <3 SF triggers.

We also have production thread of this tool here on SEN: http://www.staredit.net/58908/

It is not an editor but the central tool which can help you with the process of creating triggers. It utilizes SCMD text triggers editor to insert created triggers into the map and is recommended to use with Notepad++ as an external editor.

Note to self: Never get vista, and try to play a game thats 10 years old.

Edit: My brother has vista and his X-tra editor works fine. Try running in XP compadibility.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
